COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Opens ’15 in Arkansas and Louisiana

Beebe, Arkansas (04/27/15) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil has will finally get the opportunity to lift the lid on 2015 with an early-May doubleheader in Arkansas and Louisiana this weekend, May 1st-2nd.

Trumann, Arkansas hot shoe, Kyle Beard will chase his unprecedented, third-straight series title in 2015 and leads a stout field of entries expected for the racing programs. Tommy Surrett, Clay Fisher, Brandon Smith, Shannon Scott, Rick Hearnsberger, Jack Sullivan, Timothy Culp, and Chandler Petty, Lynn Beach, Ross Camponovo, Jon Mitchell, Garrett Alberson, Ray Moore and Kody Mea are just some of the many entries expected for this weekend’s events.

The Kuntz & Company Rookie of the Year battle is shaping up to be a good one with Hunter Rasdon, Gavin Landers, and Cody Kierre all chasing the title.

Diamond Park Speedway will host a $2,000-to-win/$300-to-start affair on Friday night. Jon Mitchell won the CCSDS event at the facility in 2014. Also in action will be the Factory Stocks, Pure Stocks, Street Stocks, Novices and Mod-Lites. Gates open at 5 p.m. with racing action at 8 p.m. The track is located on Highway 27 between Nashville and Murfreesboro. Saturday, May 2nd will find the stars and cars of the CCSDS rolling into Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, Louisiana) to do battle in a $2,000-to-win/$400-to-start program. Ray Moore was victorious in the slugfest at the racy oval in 2014. Modifieds, Limited Modifieds, ProMods, and Factory Stocks will also be in action.  Grandstand admission is $20 with kids (ages 10 & under) free. Pit passes are $35.  Gates open at 5pm with racing action at 7:30 pm. The facility is located at 13035 Boyter Lane Road in Vivian, Louisiana 71082.
