CCSDS Heads to Batesville Motor Speedway for Bad Boy 98

Beebe, Arkansas (04/12/16) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) presented by Lucas Oil rolls into Mooney Starr’s Batesville Motor Speedway this weekend, April 15-16 for the annual Bad Boy 98.

The $20,000-to-win event, which will be held April 15-16, is co-sanctioned with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS).

On the heels of a great start to the season, Sikeston, Missouri-racer, Austin Rettig leads the current CCSDS standings. Hunter Rasdon, Kyle Cummings, Jack Sullivan, Kyle Beard, Jon Mitchell, Allen Tippen, Austin Theiss, Ross Camponovo, and Garrett Alberson round out the Top 10 in the latest standings.

Hockley, Texas racer, Austin Theiss leads the Kuntz & Co. Rookie of the Year standings over a talented rookie crop that includes Jonathan Rowan, Tanner Kellick, Jake Davis, Mason Oberkramer, and Brandon Wilson.

The LOLMDS competitors will be led into battle this weekend by defending champion and current point’s leader, Jonathan Davenport from Blairsville, Georgia. Scott Bloomquist, Jared Landers, Darrell Lanigan, Brandon Sheppard, Jimmy Owens, Dennis Erb Jr., Tim McCreadie, Don O’Neal, and Earl Pearson Jr. round out the Top 10 in current points.

The CCSDS weekend provisionals will be determined by the following criteria. The top series member from the 2015 standings, who also entered both of the events held thus far into 2016 and doesn’t qualify for the Bad Boy 98 finale, will receive a provisional, starting spot. In addition, the series member with the fastest qualifying time on Friday, who entered both of opening weekend’s events and doesn’t qualify for the feature, will receive a provisional.

Friday night’s program will consist of qualifying and heat race action. On Saturday evening consolation events will be held, and the night will be capped by the 98-lap finale.

Street Stocks, Hobby Stocks, Factory Stocks, and IMCA Modifieds will also be on the card on Friday evening, while Saturday’s program will include Street Stocks.
