Southern Oklahoma Speedway Hosts SUPR Late Models Saturday Night!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Midwest City, Oklahoma – May 14, 2013 - One of the biggest late model events to come to Southern Oklahoma Speedway will take place this coming Saturday night as the Louisiana based SUPR late model series makes their inaugural appearance at John and Nicky Webb’s big three-eighths mile oval in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

The tour is headed by current point leader Robert Litton of Alexandria, Louisiana. Other tour regulars expected to compete include; Tyler Erb (Magnolia, Texas), Zachery McMillan (Gladewater, Texas), Kevin Sitton (Baytown, Texas), Shane Hebert (Lafayette, Louisiana), Patrik Daniel (Willis Point, Texas), Mikey Kile (West Lake, Texas) and Michael Jay Brunson (Dubberly, Texas). Close to thirty drivers are expected.
The SUPR late model series is most familiar to those who frequent the Dirt Track at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth during the spring running of the Texas World Dirt Track Championship. The series has been in existence since 1990 and competes mainly at tracks across the Oklahoma, Louisiana and Texas areas. The last Oklahoma appearance was back in 2006 when the tour made an appearance at State Fair Speedway in Oklahoma City.

Also competing will be the tracks limited modified and stock car divisions.

Pit gates open at 5:00 PM with race time set for 7:30 PM. Grandstand admission is $20 for adults (ages 13 and up), $15 for kids 6-12 and seniors while pit passes are $30.

Caney Valley Speedway Kicks off 2013 this Friday Night!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Midwest City, Oklahoma – May 14, 2013 - Caney Valley Speedway in Caney, Kansas will kick off their 2013 race season with a special Friday night edition of racing atop the quarter mile clay oval. The speedway, that normally competes each and every Saturday night, will switch to this Friday night due to the Caney High School graduation. The track will go back to Saturday night racing on May 25th and the OCRS sprint car tour will also be making an appearance.

DIRTcar sanctioned super late models paying $700 to win and $125 will once again be part of the weekly divisions at the speedway. Other divisions competing include B-mods, factory stock, pure stock and non-wing micros.

Gates open at 5:00 PM with racing slated for an 8:00 PM start time.
