Batesville, Arkansas (5/08/08) – Billy Moyer Jr. from Batesville, Arkansas picked up a top ten finish on Saturday night behind the wheel of his #21jr Victory Circle M1 Chassis by Moyer Super Late Model at Poinsett County Raceway in Harrisburg, Arkansas.
Billy was slated to compete in a pair of events over the weekend, but Mother Nature nixed Friday night's program on Friday night at Batesville Motor Speedway. As a result, the team competed in a lone event on Saturday night at Poinsett County Raceway in Harrisburg, Arkansas with the O'Reilly MSRA Super Late Models. 28 late models were on hand and Billy started 10th in the feature. He got as high as the 6th position in the feature before a loose race car forced him to a 9th place finish.
After much consideration on where to race this Friday and Saturday, Jr. Motorsports has decided to race closer to home and enter a pair of events in their home state of Arkansas. The weekend will get underway on Friday night with a $1,500 to win/$200 to start Super Late Model event at Beebe Speedway in Beebe, Arkansas. On Saturday night, the action shifts to Central Arkansas Speedway in Plumerville, Arkansas for another $1,500 to win/$200 to start event. Both events are sanctioned by the AMP Late Model Series.

Beard Charges To 4th Place Finish at PCS
Trumann, AR (5/08/08) – Kyle Beard and Beard Motorsports will once again be in action this Friday and Saturday, May 9th – 10th in a pair of events in the state of Arkansas with the AMP Super Late Model Series.
Kyle was slated to compete in a pair of events over the weekend, but rain won on Friday night at Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas. As a result, the team only competed on Saturday night at Poinsett County Raceway in Harrisburg, Arkansas. Kyle's bad luck continued to follow him early in the night as his left front shock fell off on the first lap of his heat race forcing him to the pits. Via his heat race DNF, Kyle was forced to start 5th in his b-main. He was able to advance to the second transfer spot, which earned him an 18th starting position for the feature event. In the feature, while many of his competitors opted for the low line, Kyle headed upstairs to the very high side of the track and charged to a 4th place finish and won the Larry Shaw Race Cars Hard Charger Award.
Kyle's Dad, Gary, was also in action and came away with a 14th place finish in the Super Late Model feature.
This Friday and Saturday, Kyle will return to action behind the wheel of his #86 GRT By Frye/Samuels Racing Engine Super Late Model. “What a great weekend for our AMSOIL #2 team,” quoted Smith earlier in the week via telephone. “Our Bloomquist car ran flawlessly on Saturday night at Kentucky Lake and it was great to win against that kind of competition. The track was in awesome shape and it feels good to get that first victory under our belt. We would have liked to have run further towards the front on Sunday at Monett, but we redrew an eight and the track was really hard to pass on during the feature. But overall, I am very pleased with the one feature victory and the two heat race wins and hopefully we can put together another strong weekend during the Diamond Nationals at Wheatland!”
The 2nd Annual ‘SuperClean Diamond Nationals’ will take place this upcoming weekend at the pristine Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri. Billy would shake down the new car and eventually pulled in to make some minor chassis adjustments before the feature. Billy would make the 24 car field by virtue of a series provisional starting position based on the current series national point's standings.
Drake would start 24th in the field for the 50-lap feature event that was full of great racing action and multiple passing on the racy track. We were fortunate to finish 2nd with the level of competition that was here. Were going to take the same car to Wheatland this weekend for the "Diamond Nationals" that we ran 2nd in to Brady Smith at Kentucky Lake", stated Billy Drake.
