William Thomas to Contend for 2014 NDRL Rookie of the Year Title

Phenix City, Alabama (12/26/13) - William Thomas recently completed a very successful 2013 season in his #19 AIS Motorsports/Alexander's Industrial Services/Team GRT by Weaver Late Model. The banner year included eleven feature wins as well as the inaugural championship with the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series. With a great season in the rear view mirror Thomas has announced that he will now embark on his most ambitious schedule to date in 2014 as he will contend for the National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) Rookie of the Year title.

"We just had an amazing year in 2013, and I can't thank my team, my sponsors, my family, and my fans enough for their incredible support," noted Thomas. " AIS Motorsports is affording me a great opportunity for the 2014 season as I've decided to make a run at the NDRL Rookie of the Year honors."

The 2014 NDRL slate currently includes approximately thirty events from Alabama to New York to Arkansas and all points in between.

"There's some familiar tracks on the schedule so far, but a lot of these places will be new to me, and while that will present an obvious challenge, I'm really excited to get out and run new tracks with a national tour," comments William.

The team is tentatively slated to open 2014 with a trip to Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Alabama) for the annual Ice Bowl, which posts a $6,000 top prize for the unsanctioned, Super Late Model event. For more information on the event, please visit www.TalladegaShortTrack.com .

From there Thomas will make the long tow west to Tucson International Raceway (Tucson, Arizona) to compete in the NDRL sanctioned, 2nd Annual Winter Extreme. The miniseries includes six events held over the course of January 11th-19th with purses ranging from $3,000-to-win to $5,000-to-win with a $10,000-to-win finale.

On their way home William and AIS Motorsports will compete in the Battle at the Border, which will be held January 24th-26th at El Paso Speedway Park (El Paso, Texas). Action opens with a $3,000-to-win race before seeing a pair of $5,000-to-win races contested. The El Paso events will also be NDRL sanctioned, but like the Tucson events will be non-points races. Big Frog Motorsports Bags Lucky #13 Win for 2013

Middleburg, Florida (12/26/13) - It may have come via unexpected circumstances, but never-the-less Big Frog Motorsports was able to claim their thirteenth win of 2013 on Saturday in their final event of the season.

Mark Whitener was eager to claim the $2,000 win in the Florida State Championship at Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Florida) on Saturday night in his #58 Big Frog Motorsports/Dave's Towing/B&B Produce Late Model.  However, Whitener caught a flu bug earlier in the week, which ultimately forced him to the hospital.  With Mark not available the team contacted good friend, Ivedent Lloyd Jr. to pilot the entry, and he would prove to be a great choice.

Lloyd Jr. started his outing by storming from the 6th starting spot in his heat race to claim the win. After drawing the pole for the feature Ivedent went on to lead flag-to-flag to score the victory, which came over Dalton Myers, Kyle Bronson, Scott Lagasse Jr., and Carter Stokes.

Full results from the event are available at www.BubbaRacewayPark.com.

The team has now concluded the 2013 campaign as they turn their attention to a rapidly approaching 2014 season.  They would like to thank all of their sponsors and fans for their great support this season.  The team is also currently looking for new principal, associate, and product sponsors for 2014.  Interest parties can find more information on Big Frog Motorsports at www.BigFrogMotorsports.com .
