Johnny Pursley Masters Modoc for Ultimate Cash

Clover, South Carolina (08/29/16) – Johnny Pursley just keeps winning. On Saturday night he pushed his current win streak to four with a $5,000 triumph in his Pursley Grading #09 Longhorn Chassis / Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model.

“This almost seems like a dream right now,” said Pursley. “It’s hard to believe that we’ve won four events in a row, and now this weekend I head to two of my best tracks. I’ve joked with some of my friends that if we win both of these races, I might just call it a year.”

Pursley concludes by noting, “All jokes aside, I want to thank everyone, who supports my race team and has made this success possible. Without any one of them, there’s no way that I could be enjoying such a great streak right now.”

Competing with the Ultimate Super Late Model Series, Johnny Pursley made the trip to Modoc Raceway (Modoc, South Carolina) on Saturday night for the Bad Boy Off Road 50. In a field of 21 Super Late Models, Pursley timed in 3rd-quickest, which locked him into the 3rd-starting spot for the feature. Outdueling pole-starter Casey Roberts, Johnny stormed to his fourth-straight victory with Roberts, Brent Dixon, Anthony Sanders, and Hunter Peacock rounding out the Top 5. Reeling in his fourth overall win of the season, Pursley pocketed a $5,000 payday.

Full results from the event are available at www.UltimateSupers.com .

The upcoming Labor Day weekend takes Johnny back into competition with the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series as he looks to extend both his win streak and his point lead. With a 64-point advantage atop the standings, Pursley will enter a pair of $4,000-to-win events this weekend. Action opens on Saturday evening at Lancaster Super Speedway (Lancaster, South Carolina) before moving to Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, South Carolina). Big Game Motorsports and Lasoski Celebrate Knoxville Track Title by Winning

Inside Line Promotions - KNOXVILLE, Iowa (Aug. 29, 2016) - Big Game Motorsports driver Danny Lasoski capped the 2016 season at Knoxville Raceway on the right foot last Saturday.

The Muddy sponsored team had already wrapped up a second straight track championship prior to the season finale, which was a National Sprint League event.

"We want to win every race no matter what the circumstances are," Lasoski said. "There's no better way to end the season at Knoxville than by winning."

Lasoski did just that with a strong performance at the half-mile oval, where he kicked off the action by setting quick time during qualifying. He then advanced from sixth to third place in a heat race to make the feature inversion, which lined him up on the inside of the second row for the 25-lap feature.

Lasoski maneuvered into the runner-up position a few laps into the race before he used a slide job in turns three and four to take the lead on Lap 14.

"We have been better the last month and a half than we've been all summer," he said. "These cars have been so temperamental in dirty air. We've got better and better and it's showing."

Lasoski maintained the top spot for the remainder of the feature despite a late-race caution to record his 111th career victory on the night he was presented his 11th track title.

"The more seasoned we get the harder we work to stay in shape and keep up with the younger guys," he said. "The team Tod (Quiring) assembled is second to none. I'm the most proud of the team work. They keep working and keep working. Sometimes you have to pinch yourself. I was elated when I won my first one. A kid from Missouri with a population of 109 going to the mecca of racing and wins. Now we're still competing and winning. That definitely puts the icing on the cake for the Knoxville season."

The win also boosted Lasoski's lead in the National Sprint League championship standings to 128 points entering the AGCO Jackson Nationals this Saturday and Sunday at Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minn., where the winner will earn $25,000.

Mark Burch Motorsports and Lasoski Continue Top-10 Streak

Inside Line Promotions - GREENWOOD, Neb. (Aug. 29, 2016) - Mark Burch Motorsports registered its ninth top-10 finish of the season last Friday at I-80 Speedway.

Danny Lasoski piloted the team to a sixth-place result during the Carpetland Nebraska 360 Sprints event at the high-banked track to continue the streak of finishing in the top 10 during every 360ci winged sprint car race this season.

"Winning is everything to both of us, but we both understand we can't win every time," Lasoski said. "Mark works hard to give me a car capable of winning and I'm proud of the progress this team has made throughout our races together this year."

The event began with Lasoski finishing where he started - second - in a heat race. That advanced the team into the feature redraw, where Lasoski pulled the highest number - eight - to start the main event on the outside of the fourth row.

"We were running fourth and on the last restart our nose wing got knocked down so we were just hanging on," he said.

Lasoski battled for a top five throughout the feature before placing sixth.

Mark Burch Motorsports will return to action this Friday and Sunday at Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minn., for the AGCO Jackson Nationals with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.

"Jackson has been one of my favorite race tracks," Lasoski said. "It's a phenomenal track to race at and with the upgrades Tod Quiring has done there it has become a great track."

Lasoski drove to a third-place result during his lone 360 start at the half-mile oval this season. He also placed fifth last year, second in 2014, ninth and fifth, respectively, in 2013 and second in 2012.

Wheatley Returning to Sprint Car Action This Weekend With World of Outlaws

Inside Line Promotions - LAKE STEVENS, Wash. (Aug. 29, 2016) - This weekend marks almost five months since Austen Wheatley has raced his sprint car.

That streak is slated to end when he tackles a trio of World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series races in his home state. Wheatley is set to compete this Friday and Saturday at Skagit Speedway in Alger, Wash., and Monday at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Wash.

"I'm pretty confident I'll pick up where I left off," he said. "We've had time off and came back strong in the past so that's the plan this weekend."

"I'm really excited to get to Skagit with the new surface," he said. "I haven't got to race on it since they changed it. The goal is to get two top 10s to get back at it on a strong note."

Wheatley also set a career-best World of Outlaws result at Grays Harbor Raceway last season when he placed 11th. It marked the third straight season of improvement at the 3/8-mile oval, where he finished 14th in 2014 and 24th in 2013.
