Kyle Beard To Debut New Car at 21st Annual Ice Bowl

Trumann, AR (01/04/12) – Looking to put behind him a tough 2011 campaign, "The Silent Assassin" Kyle Beard is eager to start a new season and will do so this weekend in brand new #86 Beard Motorsports/GRT/Samuels Performance Racing Engine Super Late Model in the 21st Annual Ice Bowl at Talladega Short Track.

After a 2011 season that saw Beard endure more than his fair share of bad luck the team has made several changes for the 2012 campaign.  The most notable change is that he will be piloting a brand new GRT this season.  He makes the change back to the Greenbrier, Arkansas-produced chassis, which saw him pick up several wins early in his career.  The team is also refocused and reloaded as they look to make some noise throughout the southeast this season.

Kyle Beard will open the 2012 campaign this weekend, January 5th-8th, in the 21st Annual Ice Bowl at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama.  Kyle has made the feature twice with a best finish of 15th in 2010.  Kyle has his sights set on a top five finish in this year's edition of the event, which will see Open Practice on Thursday and Friday with time trials and heat race action on Saturday.  Sunday will be highlighted by b-mains, and the $6,000 to win finale.  For more information on the event, please visit www.TalladegaShortTrack.com .

Ronny Lee Hollingsworth Opens 2012 at the Ice Bowl

Northport, Alabama (01/05/12) –Ronny Lee Hollingsworth will open his 2012 season this weekend, January 6th-8th, in his brand new #18 Flynn Motorsports/ Warrior/Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model at the 21st Annual Ice Bowl at Talladega Short Track.

After a 2011 season, which saw Ronny Lee visit victory lane on five occasions, the Northport, Alabama driver is ready for the 2012 season as he recently completed two new Warrior Chassis.  This weekend, January 6th-8th, Hollingsworth will kick off his 2012 campaign at the 21st Annual Ice Bowl at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Alabama).  The $6,000-to-win event will see practice held on Friday with time trials and heat race action on Saturday.  On Sunday afternoon b-mains and the finale will be held.  For more information on the event, please visit www.TalladegaShortTrack.com .

Billy Moyer Jr. to Contend for WoO Rookie Title; Ready for Tucson

Batesville, Arkansas (1/05/12) – Billy Moyer Jr. has announced that he will be making the next big step in his young career as he will be taking his #21jr Henderson Motorsports/Car City/Imperial Motors/Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer/Pro Power Racing Engine Super Late Model on the road with the World of Outlaws Super Late Model tour for the 2012 season.

The 24-year-old from Batesville, Arkansas is preparing to embark on his sixth year of racing in 2012, and after toying with the national scene the past few years in select events he has decided to jump in with both feet for the 2012 campaign.

"I've got some great backers behind me, and I feel like I'm as ready as ever to go out and try to tackle a national tour.  My biggest weaknesses right now are soft tires and big tracks, and I'm going to put everything I have into improving in both of those areas this year.  There's a lot of great rookies out there this year, so the going won't be easy, but I think that we can make a strong run at the WoO Rookie Title," commented Moyer Jr.

Jr. Motorsports will open their 2012 campaign next week at USA Raceway (Tucson, Arizona) during the 6th Annual Wild West Shootout.  Six races plus a practice session will be held over the course of ten days at the 3/8 mile oval, where Moyer Jr. claimed the opening win in 2011 and will be looking for a repeat in 2012.  His docket for the 6th Annual Wild West Shootout is shown below:
