Kevin Ramey dominates Lone Star/Sooner Showdown at Kennedale

Bryan Hulbert - KENNEDALE, Texas (September 14, 2013) Kevin Ramey posted his second victory of 2013 Saturday night at the Kennedale Speedway Park against the Smiley’s Racing Products Lone Star and American Bank of Oklahoma Sooner Regions with a dominating performance that saw the Print Place No. 7m lapping to seventh place in the 25 lap A-Feature.

Drawing the pole for the night’s feature, Ramey jumped to the lead and never relinquished that spot. Johnny Herrera grabbed the runner up spot from fourteenth with Matt Covington charging from eighth to complete the podium to secure his second American Bank of Oklahoma Sooner Region title.
Patrick Stasa crossed fourth from tenth with Blake Hahn completing the top five. New York’s Bobby Breen grabbed sixth with Channin Tankersley the final car on the lead lap in seventh. Joe Bob Lee, Mike Goodman, and Ryan Beechler completed the top ten.

With the American Bank of Oklahoma Sooner Region 2013 season coming to a close, the Smiley’s Racing Products Lone Star Region continues to the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track with the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by MAVTV American Real on Saturday, September 21. Cornell holds off Baker for U.S. 36 victory

Bryan Hulbert - CAMERON, Mo. (September 14, 2013) Jonathan Cornell drew the pole at the U.S. 36 Raceway against the Speedway Motors Warrior Region and looked like he was going to run away to victory. That was until Cody Baker made a last corner charge; marking Cornell sweat as he crossed with a slim half-car advantage.

Cody Baker then Jay Russell completed the podium with Jason Danley and Wyatt Burks making up the top five. Miranda Arnold, Mitchell Moore, Austin Alumbaugh, Curtis Evans, and Tyler Blank made up the top ten.

The Speedway Motors Warrior Region returns to competition on Friday, September 27 and Saturday, September 28 at the Lucas Oil Speedway for the Hockett/McMillian Memorial.

Ziehl takes Tucson cash

Bryan Hulbert - TUCSON, Ariz. (September 14, 2013) Rick Ziehl proved to be the man to beat Saturday night with Hose Advantage Store Southwest Region, coming from sixth to top the Arizona arm of the ASCS Nation at the Tucson International Raceway in Tucson, Ariz.

Joshua Williams crossed second with Billy Chester, Cody Cambensy, and Kaylene Verville made up the top five.

The Hose Advantage Store Southwest Region competes again on October 5 at the Arizona Speedway in Queen Creek, Ariz.
