Johnny Herrera Leads The Way With ASCS Warriors at Randolph County Raceway

MOBERLY, Mo. (September 5, 2015) Johnny Herrera scored his first Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region victory of the 2015 season, topping action in Saturday’s non-stop A-Feature event at the Randolph County Raceway.

Herrera’s third consecutive win in ASCS Regional competition, the Mesilla Valley Transportation No. 45x was chased to the line by Arkansas’s Derek Hagar with Wayne Johnson third and Jonathan Cornell fourth. Sidelined during her Heat Race, Jordan Weaver won the night’s B-Feature. Gridding the Widow Wax No. 92 seventeenth, Jordan raced to a fifth place finish.

Josh Fisher from 10th crossed sixth with Cody Baker, Randy Martin, Mitchell Moore, and Jay Russell making up the top-ten.

The Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region gets back to action on Sunday, September 6 at the Randolph County Raceway with a $4,000 winner’s check on the line. Any driver who raced Saturday night’s opener is eligible for the full A-Feature purse on Sunday if they make the show. Sam Hafertepe, Jr. Wires ASCS Gulf South in Battleground Finale; Kevin Ramey 2015 Champion

HIGHLANDS, Texas (September 5, 2015) Picking up season victory three in ASCS Regional competition, Sam Hafertepe, Jr. led flag-to-flag on Saturday night with the Southern Trailer Works ASCS Gulf South Region presented by Griffith Truck and Equipment at the Battleground Speedway.

Career win No. 7 for Hafertepe with the ASCS Gulf South Region, the No. 15h was joined on the podium by Tommy Bryan and Channin Tankersley. From 11th, Aaron Reutzel grabbed fourth with Ray Allen Kulhanek, from 9th, completing the top-five.

Bringing the Jambo BBQ Pits No. 1a home sixth, Kevin Ramey secured his first Championship with the Southern Trailer Works ASCS Gulf South Region presented by Griffith Truck and Equipment. Kevin now owns four ASCS Regional Titles; going back-to-back with the ASCS Sooner Region in 2003 and 2004, as well as topping the ASCS Lone Star Region in 2009.

Michael McNeil was seventh with Jordon Mallett eighth. Zane Lawrence and Jacob Lucas made up the top-ten.

The entire staff of the American Sprint Car Series congratulates Kevin Ramey, and car owner Ricky Stapleton, on their Championship, and look forward to seeing them defend their title in 2016.
