Lucas Oil ASCS National Back On Track With Missouri Double

TULSA, Okla. (August 12, 2016) A new venue, and a trip to the Fair has teams on the road to Missouri as the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network invades the St. Francois County Raceway in Farmington, Mo. for the first time on Saturday, August 20, followed by the second round of the Lucas Oil Triple Crown, the $15,000 to win High Roller Classic at the Missouri State Fair Speedway in Sedalia on Sunday, August 21.

Slated to be the 16th track in the "Show Me State" to see action with the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network, Saturday's showdown atop St. Francois clay will be the 83rd time the National Tour has scattered Missouri soil.

Saturday's appearance by the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour is not only the series inaugural event at the Missouri oval, but is also inaugural "Dean Adams Classic". A long time figure at the St. Francois County Raceway, the Adams family has seen multiple generations in action at the St. Francois County Raceway with grandson, Dustin Adams, currently carrying on the family name.

Seeing National Tour competition for the first time on May 28, 1995, the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour has seen action at the Missouri half-mile 16 times. The most recent trip was during the 2016 ASCS Sizzlin' Summer Speedweek on June 17 where Brad Loyet topped the field. The second year for the High Roller Classic, Aaron Reutzel out dueled Brian Brown in 2015 for the top prize.

The 2016 edition is the second leg of the Lucas Oil Triple Crown. As the winner of the Arnold Motor Supply 360 Knoxville Nationals, Sammy Swindell is in the running for a $50,000 bonus if he can add the High Roller Classic and the Hockett McMillin Memorial to his list of victories in 2016.

Sam Hafertepe, Jr. leads National Tour standings going into the weekend with a 115 point advantage over Johnny Herrera. Third continues to be held by Blake Hahn. While Hahn tails the lead by 360 points, he's still within the grasp of Seth Bergman who is 56 points behind.

While everyone chases the top, the race throughout the top-eight is still very close with fourth through eighth only separated by 50 markers. Wayne Johnson currently sits fifth with Logan Forler sixth. Aaron Reutzel and Matt Covington make up the top-eight. Kyle Bellm and Josh Baughman complete the top-ten in tour standings.

Co-Sanctioned with the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps, Jonathan Cornell has amassed a 332 point buffer over the field with Evan Martin leading the chase to catch the No. 28. Danny Thoman, Cody Baker, and Austin Alumbaugh make up the top-five.

Saturday, August 20 at St. Francois County Raceway will get underway with Hot Laps at 6:00 P.M. (CDT). Support Classes will include Modifieds, B-Mods, and Super Streets. Admission is $15 for adults with kids 12 and under admitted free into the Grandstands. St. Francois County Raceway is located at 4763 E. Woodlawn Dr. Farmington, Mo. 63640.
