ASCS Southern Outlaw Sprints Set For Hattiesburg Double Header

TULSA, Okla. (June 28, 2016) The Lucas Oil ASCS Southern Outlaw Sprints are headed for an Independence Day Weekend showdown at the Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, Miss. on Friday, July 1 and Saturday, July 2.
The season's second trip to the Mississippi oval, the 2016 lineup kicked off at the Hattiesburg Speedway with Washington's Seth Bergman picking up the win Michael Miller and Derek Hagar completing the night's podium.

Nine previous visits to the Mississippi oval since 2014, Shane Morgan is the leading regional winner with three wins to his credit. Terry Gray is the only other repeat winner with a pair to triumphs. Other winners include Jarod Roller, who won the series inaugural trip on April 11, 2014, as well as Michael Miller, Howard Moore, and Seth Bergman.

Rounds 10 and 11 on the season, Michael Miller leads the win into his home state showdown with an 81 point buffer over Kyle Amerson. Shane Morgan holds third with Joey Schmidt and Ryan Moore making up the top-five.

Tristan Lee, Derek Hagar, Marshall Skinner, Timmy Thrash, and Morgan Turpen complete the top-ten.

Friday, July 1 and Saturday, July 2 get underway at 7:00 P.M. with Hot Laps. The night's card will also include NeSmith Crate Late Models, Street Stocks, UMP Modifieds, Outlaw Street, and Pure Street. Admission is $15. It's a Red, White, and Blue Weekend For The ASCS Warrior Region

TULSA, Okla. (June 28, 2016) Three nights across central Missouri are on tap this weekend as the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps presents the Red, White, and Blue at the Callaway Raceway on Friday, July 1 in Fulton, Mo. followed by the Randolph County Raceway in Moberly, Mo. on Saturday, July 2 before wrapping things up at the Double X Speedway in California, Mo. on Sunday, July 3.

Thanks to Tiger Towing, Valley Park Retirement Living, Key Choice Realty, and Midwest Specialty Flooring the Red, White, and Blue Tour will see its third year with all three nights paying $1,776 to win.

In the Red, White, and Blue's 2014 tour, four nights filled the docket with three contested and it was a Jonathan Cornell sweep with two nights at Double X Speedway, and one at Callaway Raceway. In 2015, again, four events ended up with three complete with wins going to Jack Dover at Callaway Raceway and Double X Speedway. Leading ASCS Warrior winner, Randy Martin, topped the field at Randolph County Raceway.

Jonathan Cornell is well on his way to another Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region championship, leading going into the weekend by 239 points over Evan Martin. Danny Thoman, Cody Baker, and Austin Alumbaugh complete the top-five.

Friday, July 1 at Callaway Raceway will see USRA A-Mods, B-Mods, Sportsman, Hornets, and Jr. Hornets in addition to the ASCS Warrior Region. Hot Laps begin at 7:00 P.M. (CDT). For more information on the Callaway Raceway, log onto http://www.callawayraceways.com.

Saturday, July 2 at the Randolph County Raceway is also the Bob Whitehead Memorial and will include a Fireworks display. Gates open at 5:00 P.M. with Hot Laps at 6:30 P.M. (CDT).
