Lucas Oil ASCS ready for Saturday at Eagle

Bryan Hulbert - TULSA, Okla. (May 27, 2013) The Hinchman Racewear Eagle Nationals has been an ongoing tradition of Nebraska Sprint Car racing since 1981 with Sammy Swindell taking the inaugural checkered flag.

Switching hands to become a part of the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVTV American Real in 2010, Danny Wood took the prelim honors on June 11 while Jason Johnson took the finale on June 12.

Among the races promoted by Tony Bruce, Jr. and his company TBJ Promotions, the 2013 edition of the coveted event will feature a single night format on Saturday, June 1 with a winner’s check that totals $5,000.

One of only a trio of tracks that has hosed the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by MAVTV American Real in the state of Nebraska, the tracks in the “Corn Husker State” have been at Eagle Raceway (5), I-80 Speedway (8), and the Pawnee Speedway (1).

In an interview released by Inside Line Promotions, the 2011 champion of the event described the Eagle Nationals, and it’s host facility, as being among his favorite, ““It’s one of my favorite races and is at one of my favorite tracks,” Dover said. “It’s always an exciting show with a ton of slide jobs and passing. The competition is always tough so if you can run well at the Eagle Nationals, you’ve done well.”
