Creek County Speedway and Lawton Speedway Next For ASCS Red River Region

TULSA, Okla. (May 18, 2016) The American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Red River Region presented by Smiley's Racing Products returns to action this weekend with the series return to the Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla. on Friday, May 20, followed by the season's first visit to the Lawton Speedway in Lawton, Okla. on Saturday, May 21.

Going into the Oklahoma double header, Tennessee's Brandon Hanks carries a commanding 124 advantage over defending series champion, Kade Morton, who finished 10th at Creek on April 8, 2016. In the series April visit to the Creek County Speedway, Hanks managed a seventh place run.

While Kade Morton holds second, younger brother, Chance Morton, sits in third only six points removed from the runner-up spot. Traveling from Wichita, Kan. Jake Greider holds fourth with Fred Mattox rounding out the top-five in tour standings.

With graduation season keeping Mickey Walker at home over the Texas Motor Speedway weekend, the driver of the No. 2 enters the weekend sixth in standings with Charles McManus seventh. McManus, with a roller coaster weekend at TMS following a crash during Thursday practice, was able to return to competition on Saturday. Despite missing early season shows, Ft. Worth's Kevin Ramey has rebounded to eighth with Brad Queen and Forrest Sutherland completing the top-ten.

Looking to keep up the trend of different winners in 2016, seven nights of competition has seen just as many drivers report to Victory Lane. Co-Sanctioned with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour this past weekend, Sam Hafertepe, Jr. and Aaron Reutzel are the latest to be added to the ASCS Red River list of winners in 2016.

Friday, May 20 at Creek County Speedway will see gates opening at 5:00 P.M. with races getting underway at 8:00 P.M. (CT). The night's card will also include Non-Wing Champ Sprints and the Driven Midwest NOW600 Winged Outlaw Micros. For more information on Creek County Speedway, call (918) 693-RACE or log onto http://www.creekcountyspeedway.co.

Saturday, May 21 at the Lawton Speedway will feature USRA Modifieds, Limited Modifieds, and Mini Stocks in addition to the ASCS Red Rive Region. Gate will open at 6:00 P.M. with racing getting underway at 8:00 P.M. (CT). For more information on the Lawton Speedway, call (580) 355-6417 or log onto http://lawtonspeedway.com.
