Lucas Oil ASCS Southern Outlaw Sprints Headline In Alabama and Tennessee

TULSA, Okla. (April 25, 2016) Two nights of racing across the Southeast are on the docket for the Lucas Oil ASCS Southern Outlaw Sprints this weekend, as the Moulton Speedway in Moulton, Ala. will see competition on Friday, April 29 followed by the recently added Duck River Raceway Park in Lewisburg, Tenn. on Saturday, April 30.

This weekend marks the first time the Lucas Oil ASCS/SOS has sanctioned events at the Moulton Speedway and Duck River Raceway Park.

Going into the weekend matchup, Derek Hagar leads the Lucas Oil ASCS Southern Outlaw Sprints' standings with a 41 point advantage over Marshall Skinner. Hagar is the only driver on the Lucas Oil ASCS/SOS tour that has a win at the Moulton Speedway, winning on June 4, 2011 with USCS. In four feature starts this season, Hagar has placed in the Top 5 on three occasions.

Skinner, with a pair of Top 5 runs this season, sits only 7 points ahead of defending series champion, Michael Miller with Kyle Amerson and Brian Bell completing the top-five in tour standings. The top-ten rounds out with Shane Morgan, Timmy Thrash, Joey Schmidt, Andy McElhannon, and Ryan Moore.

Round's five and six on the 2016 lineup, four nights of competition in Alabama and Mississippi has yielded four winners.

Friday, April 29 at the Moulton Speedway will get open at 5:00 P.M. with racing getting underway at 7:30 P.M. (CT). Saturday, April 30, the Duck River Raceway Park will open at 1:00 P.M. with races slated for a 7:00 P.M. (CT) start. ASCS Warrior Region Takes On Callaway Raceway Friday Night

TULSA, Okla. (April 25, 2016) With the 2016 season off and running, the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps gets back to action on Friday, April 29 at the Callaway Raceway in Fulton, Mo.

First seeing the ASCS Warrior Region in 2014, Jonathan Cornell picked up the series debut victory on July 4, 2014 during the series Red, White, and Blue Tour. Rebounding from a massive flip in the 2016 season opener at the Missouri State Fair Speedway, Cornell picked up his first podium finish of the season in Warrior competition this past Saturday night at Springfield Raceway, pushing the VKCC Motorsports No. 28 into the points lead going into Friday night.

Trailing by only 17 points, Lone Jake, Missouri's Cody Baker holds second with Even Martin holding third. Austin Alumbaugh is currently fourth with Danny Thoman completing the top-five in tour standings.

Brandon Hanks is sixth with Seth Bergman, Mitchell Moore, Brian Brown, and Kyle Bellm completing the top-ten.

Friday's visit if the first of two visits on the season to the Callaway Raceway for the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps. For the third year running, the Missouri oval will be featured in the Red, White, and Blue Tour on July 1, 2016.

April 29, gates will open at 5:00 P.M. with Hot Laps getting underway at 7:00 P.M. (CT). Along with the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps, the night will include A-Mods, B-Mods, ULMA Limited Late Models, Sportsman, Hornets, and Junior Hornets. Admission is $17/ Seniors 60 and over get in for $16 with kids 7-12 admitted for $5. Kids six and under are free into the grandstands.
