James Mosher part-time for now with Lucas OIl ASCS

TULSA, Okla. (February 18, 2014) - If anyone understands the effects of the economy on racing, James Mosher knows all too well.

"In 2005, we moved to Brownsburg to be in the center of racing. Our aspirations were to run the full Outlaw schedule and run with the All-Stars to get more seat time, but the economy took a turn in 2007. First and foremost is business so we pull up stakes, if you will, and came back to Albuquerque to put the business back together."

The managing partner of Consolidated Solar Technologies with his Father, the Albuquerque shoe began working back into Sprint Car racing in 2013, hitting eight ASCS Regional and National events starting in August at the Abilene Speedway with the Smiley's Racing Products Lone Star Region.

"Just like riding a bicycle," chuckled James when asked about getting back into the car. "I actually think I'm faster now than I used to be because, I hate to say it, I've grown up a little bit and I've learned some patience and I think in racecars, patience is everything."

As a partner in business with an economy that is still rocky at times, Mosher is expectedly on the fence in terms of running part-time or full-time.

"Points are going to be the 100 percent decision maker," said Mosher. "If we're running top five, top seven in points then we're going to take a rear hard look at running the full schedule. If not, we're still going to hit 50-60 races total with some more regional stuff. The plan now is racing the National stuff that's within 12-15 hours from where we are at."

Right now that will put James with a 20-30 race schedule on the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.

In terms of his team, James is especially excited that he will be accompanied by his Father, Jerry Mosher, "When I raced with the Outlaws, he didn't really to get to come out with us, and he's quite the racer. He loves Sprint Cars; he calls it is Heroin. I'm really stoked to be able to race with my Dad."

Other crew members include Tom Styre, who works with James at C.S.T. as well as Wyatt Wood.
