Improved Contingencies Await Lucas Oil ASCS National Teams

(January 29, 2013) The International Motorsports Industry Show (IMIS) in Indianapolis, IN was very productive for the American Sprint Car Series with contingencies for the 2013 Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVTV American Real National Tour receiving a major increase to nearly $90,000 for teams who compete with the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by MAVTV American Real National Tour.
Ranging from percentage discounts to set dollar amounts, no qualifying race on the regular National Tour schedule will be without a sponsor of some kind.
With each Heat Race and B-Feature contested during the normal schedule now sponsored, the winners of these qualifying events will receive certificates for goods and services from some of Sprint Car racing’s most respected supplies. Along with winner’s certificates, the Hard Charger of the night along with the Highest Passing Points and first Non-Transfer from the B-Features will also receive product vouchers.
Heat Race sponsors will include: Brown and Miller Racing Solutions (BMRS), Ti22 Performance, Rod End Supply, Engler Machine and Tool, Maxwell Industries (Steve Watt Enterprises), Saldana Racing Products, and Wesmar Racing Engines.
B-Features will be sponsored by: Diversified Machine Inc. (DMI) and The Joie of Seating
High Point Driver of the Night will again be sponsored by FSR Radiators. The first non-transfer driver out of the B-Features will receive a certificate from SBI Fuel Systems. The Hard Charger Award will be announced at a later time.
In addition to per race contingencies, awards will also be given out at the National Tour Banquet in November from Simpson Racing Products, Hinchman Indy Racewear, Schoenfeld Headers, Smiley’s Racing Products, Brodix Cylinder Heads, Wesmar, FSR Radiators, Weld Racing Wheels, K&N Filters, Maxwell Industries, Rod End Supply, and AFCO Racing Products all contributing in addition to the $250,000 in monies paid to tour drivers and owners.
Additional sponsors from the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by MAVTV American Real in 2013 are provided by Team Lucas. These companies include General Tire, E3 Spark Plugs, Geico, Protect the Harvest, MAVTV American Real as the series presenting sponsor and Lucas Oil as the title sponsor of the American Sprint Car Series.
Currently more contingency sponsors are being contacted to bring further help to the drivers and teams that compete with the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by MAVTV American Real.
The 2013 Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVTV American Real National Tour begins in Arizona with a four night swing. Events will begin with the highly anticipated return of the National Tour to the Tucson International Raceway on Friday, Feb. 22 and Saturday, Feb. 23 before making the trek to Yuma for the $10,000 to win opening leg of the Cocopah Cup Challenge at the Cocopah Speedway on Friday, Mar. 1 and Saturday, Mar. 2.
The 2013 season marks the 22nd year of sanctioning Sprint Car racing for the American Sprint Car Series, which brings the best of Sprint Car racing to dozens of different tracks throughout the nation and into Canada. Anchored by the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series, ASCS also consists of nine different Regions throughout the nation.

2013 ASCS Warrior Plans Revealed
Bryan Hulbert - TULSA, Okla. (January 29, 2013) The battle cry of the 2013 Warrior Region will soon be heard across Missouri as the Speedway Motors backed ASCS Region has unveiled a 2013 slate consisting of 23 dates.
Revealing a lineup of events that will include stops at seven facilities, stops will include the renovated Randolph County Raceway in Moberly, MO.
Formerly known as Moberly 24 Raceway, the half-mile surface will be completely devoid of its Asphalt base for the 2013 campaign. The Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region has set Saturday, July 6 for their single appearance of the season.
Other stops on the 2013 schedule include a half-dozen events at LA Raceway in LaMonte, MO as well as the U.S. 36 Raceway in Cameron, MO. The “Diamond of Dirt Tracks” will play host on four occasions, including the Sept. 27 and 28 Hockett/McMillian Memorial.
Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, MO is on the docket three times with Double X Speedway in California, MO hosting a pair of nights. Springfield Raceway joins Randolph County Raceway as the only tracks on the 2013 lineup with a single event. The April 20 date at the Springfield oval will be co-sanctioned with American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region.
Among the dates, five will be shared with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVTV American Real National Tour.
The 2013 Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region schedule will begin in April and run into October. The region will again be headed up by Randy Combs.
