Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series Opens ’16 Season at Bloomington Speedway Friday April 29 Glasgow, KY-April 24, 2016 (www.americanmodifiedseries.com)- The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will open the 2016 racing season on Friday April 29 at Bloomington Speedway in Bloomington, IN with the 3rd Annual J.B. Robinson Memorial that will be see the A-Main contest be 40 laps in distance and pay $2,000 to win and $200 to start. Previous winners of the J.B. Robinson Memorial event are Devin Gilpin of Columbus, IN in 2014 and Kent Robinson of Bloomington, IN in 2015. . The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will be in competition at Bloomington Speedway in Bloomington, IN on Friday April 29 and the event will feature the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the 40 lap, $2,000 to win/$200 to start 3rd Annual J.B. Robinson Memorial A-Main. Other divisions joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series at Bloomington on Friday April 29 will be the track’s 410 Sprint Cars, RaceSaver Winged Sprints, and Pro (Crate) Late Models. Dillon Construction Group will offer a $500 bonus if the same driver wins the Modified and Pro (Crate) Late Model feature events. Entry fee for the Summit Racing Equipment Modified Series is $50 and, per UMP DirtCar rules for Modifieds, there is NO grooving of tires and the legal tire compounds are A40, A40S, and H40 only. Also, Bloomington uses transponders for timing and scoring purposes, but there will be NO charge for transponders. Activities for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series event at Bloomington Speedway on Friday April 29 will see the pit area open at 4:30 p.m. and the general admission area open at 5:30 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 6:15 p.m., with practice set to begin at 6:30 p.m., followed immediately by time trials and green flag racing at 7:30 p.m. All times listed are Eastern Daylight Times. Ticket prices for the event at Bloomington Speedway on Friday April 29 in the general admission area will be $15 for adults, while a pit pass will be $30.
