Arctic Cat All Stars Ready to Return to the “Buckeye State,” INDIANAPOLIS (May 25, 2016) - For the second time in 2016, the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions will make their presence known in northern Ohio, revisiting Attica Raceway Park and Wayne County Speedway for a pair of $5,000-to-win programs. The Memorial Day weekend doubleheader will activate officially on Friday evening, May 27, at the Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, followed by an appearance at the Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio, on Saturday, May 28. Each facility carries a long history with the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions, hosting a combined 162 events since 1970. Dale Blaney, the all-time leading winner with the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions with 129 victories, owns 20 feature wins between Attica and Wayne County. “We’ve been really successful in that area of the country, so it’s always exciting to get back there,” explained Dale Blaney. “Attica and Wayne County have a lot of history. Anytime you can race your way to the front in that area says a lot about your team and how you operate. Our approach never changes and we’ll treat this weekend like any other weekend. Hopefully we can use our experience to our advantage this Friday and Saturday and work back toward the front.” Attica Raceway Park last hosted the traveling Arctic Cat All Stars on April 15, 2016. The “Low Rider” Dale Blaney earned top honors, leading all but one lap to clinch his 17th Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions victory at the home of “Ohio’s Finest Racing.” Chad Kemenah finished second on April 15, followed by Lee Jacobs, Byron Reed, and Caleb Griffith. Wayne County Speedway welcomed the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions for the first time in 2016 on Saturday evening, April 16. Local favorite and Wooster native Jac Haudenschild earned the victory, his first ever at the Orrville oval during Arctic Cat All Star competition. “Downtown” Danny Holtgraver finished just behind the “Wild Child,” followed by Dale Blaney, Chad Kemenah, and Cap Henry. Hartford, Ohio’s Dale Blaney will lead the Arctic Cat All Star charge into the “Buckeye State” on Friday afternoon, holding a 22-point advantage in the current championship standings. Blaney has two victories on the season, as well as 11 top-ten finishes during his first 11 main event starts. The pilot of the GoMuddy.com/Big Game Treestands/CH Motorsports/No. 1 last visited victory lane with the Arctic Cat All Stars on Saturday, April 23, at Port Royal Speedway, capturing the inaugural Keith Kauffman Classic worth $5,000. Chad Kemenah will enter the Memorial Day weekend doubleheader currently second in the Arctic Cat All Star championship chase, earning one victory, occurring at Bedford Fairgrounds Speedway on April 17, as well as nine top-ten finishes. Sheldon Haudenschild, a two-time winner thus far in 2016, finds himself third in the title hunt, followed by Cap Henry and Texas native T.J. Michael. Danny Holtgraver, the most recent winner during Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions competition, will enter the gates at Attica Raceway Park currently sixth in the series standings. The Pittsburgh native earned his recent victory on Saturday evening, May 21, at the Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wisconsin, his first with the series since 2014. As an added bonus to the upcoming weekend, a special Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions autograph session will be held at Wayne County Speedway prior to on-track events. The autograph session will take place at 4:30 behind the main grandstands. Attica Raceway Park will open pit gates at 3:30 pm on Friday afternoon, May 27. A mandatory drivers meeting will be conducted at 5:30, followed by hot laps at 6:15. Main ticket gates will open at 4, with racing scheduled to begin at 7:45, sharp.
