Long Lewis Ford Bama Super Series Finale Date Announced

Tuscumbia, Alabama (10/26/09) – The Long Lewis Ford Bama Super Series (B.S.S.) for Super Late Models will wrap up its inaugural season on Saturday, November 21st at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama.

The finale was originally slated for October 10th, but fell victim to Mother Nature. On Saturday, November 21st the BSS Super Late Model pilots will be battling in a $2,500 to win and $400 to start, 50 lap event at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama. The event will be the final race of the 2009 Long Lewis Ford Bama Super Series and the final event of 2009 for North Alabama Speedway.

A special early start time will be in effect for the event. Hot laps will get underway at 5:30pm with racing action at 6:00pm. Joining the Long Lewis Ford Bama Super Series Super Late Models on the card will be the Open Wheel Modified, Late Model Stock, Mini Stock, and Modified Street dvisions.

With the first nine Long Lewis Ford Bama Super Series (B.S.S.) Super Late Model events in the books, six different drivers have found their way into victory lane with Jay Brinkley (Ross, TN), Chris Wall (Holden, Louisiana), Wendell Wallace (Batesville, Arkansas) and Tony Knowles (Tyrone, GA) each claiming a win, while Chris Ragan (Ramer, TN) has won three events and Anthony Burroughs (Muscle Shoals, AL), has won two events.

Chris Ragan continues to sit atop the Long Lewis Ford Bama Super Series standings, but Anthony Burroughs remains within striking distance heading into the final event, just 60 points out of the lead. Brandon King, Jay Brinkley, Daniel Miller, Ben Kittrell, Mark Fields, Jamie Flannigan, Billy Moyer Jr., and Mark Dodson round out the top ten in the current point standings. Seventy-six different drivers, representing seven different states, have attempted to qualify for a Long Lewis Ford Bama Super Series feature through the first nine events.

North Alabama Speedway will host the season finale on Saturday, October 10th as the Bama Super Series for Super Late Models battles for $2,500 to win and $400 to start. Official with the Long Lewis Ford Bama Super Series (B.S.S.) for Super Late Models have announced that Round #4 that was rained out earlier in the 2009 campaign has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 10th at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama.

Not only has the event been rescheduled, but the purse has been increased and will feature a $2,500 to win and $400 to start total payout for the 50 lap event, which will be held on Saturday October 10th at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama.

February 19th, 2009 - North Alabama Speedway will require all drivers, who compete at the track in 2009 to use Raceceivers for communication. The Raceceiver device consists of a set of ear plugs and a radio in the car with the driver during all races, which allows officials to communicate with the drivers to inform them of their place in line-ups, advise them of accidents, etc. Raceceivers will be sold for $120.00 each complete with earplugs. Drivers may also rent them each night at the track for $20.00 per race night with a deposit required. To order yours now please call 866-462-0563 or 256-710-1784. The raceceiver units will also be sold at the track.

January 15th, 2009 - The 2009 North Alabama Speedway Schedule has now been posted. Click Here to view it. The season opener will be on Friday, March 20th with Round #1 of the Bama Super Series Super Late Models. The event pays $2,000 to win and $300 to start. It will be the first of ten events in the series. Six of the events will be at North Alabama Speedway, and four events will be at Moulton Speedway (Moulton, AL). There will be a $100 entry fee at each event with $50 of each entry going to the point's fund. At the conclusion of the ten race series, a champion will be crowned and awarded with a $5,000 check. The point's fund will pay back ten spots.
