1January 22nd, 2012 - Billy concluded the 6th Annual Wild West Shootout on Sunday afternoon at USA Raceway (Tucson, Arizona) with the Bill Cheesebourg Memorial, which paid $10,000-to-win. The day started rough for Moyer Jr. as he pulled the biggest possible pill, which left him starting last in his heat race. Despite starting ninth, he advanced to a third place finish in his heat, which locked him into the redraw for the feature. In the redraw he would receive the pole position with Morgan Bagley starting to his outside. As the race went green, Bagley jumped to the lead with Moyer Jr. in tow. Five laps later Billy would shoot to the lead, and would maintain the top spot for four laps until Bagley and Tim McCreadie slipped by. Over the remainder of the event Moyer Jr. battled in the top five on what would become a one-lane race track before finishing fourth behind race winner, Bagley, Tim McCreadie, and John Anderson. Full results are available at www.USARaceway.net.

1January 21st, 2012 - On Saturday afternoon, Billy was again in action in the 6th Annual Wild West Shootout as the fifth round of the event was held with $3,000 on the line. A large number at the pill draw resulted in Moyer Jr. starting deep in his heat race. A one-groove track made passing difficult, and he would fall to advance. His heat finish left him starting at the back of a b-main and with no passing, the team opted to call it an early night. Full results are available at www.USARaceway.net.

1January 20th, 2012 - Round #4 of the 6th Annual Wild West Shootout was contested on Friday night. Sixty-five Super Late Models were in action, and a fifth place finish in heat race action, relegated Moyer Jr. to a b-main, where he started ninth. Despite starting deep in the field, he would race his way into the fourth and final transfer spot, which locked him into the 23rd starting spot for the 30 lap, $3,000-to-win feature. After not making up much ground in the opening laps of the main event, he would retire to a 23rd place finish. Full results are available at www.USARaceway.net.

1January 18th, 2012 - The third night of the 6th Annual Wild West Shootout was held on Wednesday as a lightning fast track greeted the competitors. Billy drew a front row starting spot for his heat race, but he jumped the cushion in the first corner on the first lap causing him to drop several spots. He would rebound a few spots but would still finish deep in the field, which left him starting eighth in a b-main. Despite starting deep in the b-main field, Billy advanced four spots to record a fourth place finish, which earned him the final transfer to the feature as he started 24th on the grid. With the track still fast and heavy, Moyer Jr. tested for a few laps in the feature before retiring to save his equipment. He was credited with a 23rd place finish. Full results are available at www.USARaceway.net.

January 15th, 2012 - Looking to put the bad luck of Saturday behind him that he experienced in the 6th Annual Wild West Shootout opener, Billy took part in a $5,000-to-win event on Sunday afternoon. Sixty-eight cars entered the event, and in heat race action he started fifth before blasting to the lead by the third lap of the event. He would lead a pair of laps before John Anderson drove by on the high side to claim the top spot. Billy would go on to finish second, and via passing points locked into the redraw for the feature.

In the redraw Billy would receive the pole starting spot for the 30 lap affair with John Anderson starting to his outside. As the race went green Anderson grabbed the lead with Moyer Jr. in pursuit. Billy would pull even with Anderson for the lead down the backstretch on lap 10 but could not make the pass stick. A few laps later Tim McCreadie would sneak past Moyer Jr. pushing him back to third. Billy would go on to finish a strong third behind race winner, McCreadie, and Anderson. Full results are available at www.USARaceway.net.

January 14th, 2012 - For the second straight season, Billy opened his 2012 campaign with the annual Wild West Shootout at USA Raceway (Tucson, Arizona). He won the opener for the series in 2011 and was looking to repeat in 2012, but his luck would not be so good. With sixty-nine cars entered into the opener for the six race series, Billy received the ninth starting spot for his heat race. In the heat he would advance four spots on his way to a fifth place finish, which left him just short of locking into the feature event. As a result, he was forced to run a b-main, where he started on the front row, alongside Don O'Neal. After a race long battle for the lead, Billy would finish second, which locked him into the 17th starting spot for the feature.

Early in the 30 lap, $3,000-to-win event, Moyer Jr. would work his way forward a few spots before a stack-up on a lap 13 restart saw him make contact with the turn wall. The resulting damage was enough to bring his night to an early end in the 20th position. Full results are available at www.USARaceway.net.

January 5th, 2012 - Billy Moyer Jr. has announced that he will be making the next big step in his young career as he will be taking his #21jr Henderson Motorsports/Car City/Imperial Motors/Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer/Pro Power Racing Engine Super Late Model on the road with the World of Outlaws Super Late Model tour for the 2012 season.

The 24-year-old from Batesville, Arkansas is preparing to embark on his sixth year of racing in 2012, and after toying with the national scene the past few years in select events he has decided to jump in with both feet for the 2012 campaign.

"I've got some great backers behind me, and I feel like I'm as ready as ever to go out and try to tackle a national tour.  My biggest weaknesses right now are soft tires and big tracks, and I'm going to put everything I have into improving in both of those areas this year.  There's a lot of great rookies out there this year, so the going won't be easy, but I think that we can make a strong run at the WoO Rookie Title," commented Moyer Jr.

He wouldn't be able to make up any ground in the heat as he finished fifth, which didn't earn him a transfer to the feature, and left him starting fourth in a b-main on Saturday night.

With the top two cars transferring from the b-main to the main event on Saturday night, Moyer Jr. would fail to reach a transfer spot as his weekend came to a disappointing early end. Full weekend results are available at www.MagnoliaDirt.com.

In the feature on Saturday night Billy would battle around mid-pack for much of the event before making a trip to the pits just past the halfway point. As the green flag dropped, Anderson fired a little early as he bolted to the lead. Moyer Jr. would chase Anderson for the top spot early in the race before a restart allowed Billy Moyer to race from third to the lead. Moyer Jr. would slip one more spot before the checkered flag flew as he finished in the third spot behind race winner, Kloos, and Unzicker. It wasn't the win the team was hoping for, but given the bad luck they've had to endure during the early stages of the tour, a third place finish was very much welcome.
