2009 Moulton Speedway E-Mod Rules  

FIRE SUIT—WINDOW NET OR ARM RESTRAINTS AND
5 POINT HARNESS WITH CROTCH BELT ARE MANDATORY!!!
NO COURTSEY NIGHT ON SAFETY EQUIPMENT!!
IMCA MODIFIED RULES APPLY WITH THE FOLLOWING EXCEPTIONS: 
No Traction control devices.
 
MOTOR:
1. OEM Parts ENGINE 362 max cubic inch with GM 350 block & stock stroke 3.48 crank. Flat top pistons. Ford 361 (351 stock block & stroke)  Mopar 370 (360 stock block, rods & stroke).  NO 400 BLOCKS.
2. CAMSHAFT LIFT RULE: .480"MEASURED AT THE  VALVE.   Aluminum roller rockers allowed. (Valve can only move .480"  at top of the valve) (NO VACUUM RULE) NO ROLLER CAM SHAFTS OR ROLLER  LIFTERS.
3. OEM CAST IRON HEADS: SR or VORTEC 906 and 062 heads ok. 2.02" intake & 1.60 exhaust valves max. 23 degree heads only. No angle plugs allowed. No porting or polishing of heads & intake. No match porting of intake or heads. No angle milling. No ALUMINUM heads. Must be dual plane intake
4. No mismatching of engine parts. GM to GM, Ford to Ford.
5. No ALUMINUM parts except for intake manifolds, pulleys, valve covers, radiator, water pumps, roller rocker arms and flywheel.
6. No belt drive fuel pumps.

CARBURETOR AND FUEL
1. Carburetor can be no larger than a Holley #4412 500 CFM 2 barrel and must pass inspection from top side with gauge. Bottom of carburetor can be no larger than 1 11/16" in diameter. (Must be stock Ventura 1-3/8
2. Gas only. NO ALCOHOL .
3. Rear fuel cell panel optional.
4. RECOMMENDED: IF a new car is being built or the fuel cell is being replaced, replace with 22 gallon maximum capacity.
SPOILER. 1. 8" MAXIMUM rear spoiler. To be measured deck to full length of spoiler including wicker bill & angles.
WEIGHT.1. Weight with driver after race 2450 lbs minimum.   NO MOUNTED WEIGHTS ABOUT DECK METAL!

TIRES AND WHEELS
1.HOOSIER ASPHALT PULL-OFFS OR MODIFIED PULL-OFFS.  NO tires softer than a 55 compound allowed. Towel City racing recaps allowed. 2. Steel wheels only 8" maximum. Bead-lock on right rear only.

TRANSMISSIONS.
 1. STANDARD: OEM 3 or 4 speed only. Clutch, flywheel & pressure plate 10" minimum. Must have steel blow proof bell housing w/standard. transmission. Automatics must have working 10" torque converter minimum. No direct drive or mini clutches. BERT or BRINN transmissions ok but must add 50 lbs. and may run stock bell housing.

IGNITION
1. OEM Type (HEI)

SHOCKS:
1. One 2" "STEEL" bodied shock per wheel, No coil overs allowed on the front. one additional shock allowed in the pullbar area. NO ADJ. TAKE APART OR SCHRADER VALVED SHOCKS ALLOWED.

 

MOULTON SPEEDWAY’S PROTEST RULES APPLY
Visiting E-MODS will be allowed one courtesy night (on minor infractions) and then must comply with the above rules. After 4 feature wins at Moulton Speedway, the track has the option to tear down the 4 time winners’ engine.  If the engine is found to be legal after inspection, the track will supply the driver with a replacement gaskets . 1  HEAD  GASKET  AND 1 INTAKE GASKET SET after tear-down is complete.  All other protest rules apply
