FOR SALE January 8th, 2012 - TKR Motorsports opened the 2012 campaign with their brand new #26 RSD Enterprises/Rocket/Malcuit Racing Engine Super Late Model at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Alabama) over the weekend. A wet weekend and rough track conditions greeted the team for the event. With 66 Super Late Models entered Knowles started the event by setting fast time in his group on Saturday evening before finishing second to Ray Cook in his heat race. Via the heat race finish, Knowles locked into the tenth starting spot for Sunday's $6,000-to-win, 50 lap finale. Midday rain showers forced Sunday's program to get a late start, and when the green finally dropped on the finale, Tony would quickly see his luck head south as contact from another car sent him head-on into an infield tire in the event's opening laps. The ensuing contact resulted in heavy damage to the nose of his car and Knowles would retire to a 21st place finish. Full weekend results are available at www.TalladegaShortTrack.com.
November 10th, 2011 - The 2011 season is complete for TKR Motorsports. Thanks for all of the great support from our sponsors and fans throughout the 2011 season. See everyone in 2012! November 5th, 2011 - Tony entered the annual Fall Nationals over the weekend at Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Georgia) in his #26 Rocket. Twenty-three Super Late Models entered the event, and via preliminary action Knowles would qualify for the $5,000-to-win main event before racing his way to a seventh place finish at the checkered flag. Full results are available at www.DixieSpeedway.com. October 22nd, 2011 - After initially planning to enter the 17th Annual Coors Light Fall Classic at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi) Tony changed his weekend plans as he didn't get his new car completed in time. As a result he took part in a pair of $2,000-to-win Super Late Model events at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Alabama), which were held in conjunction with the Nascar weekend. On Friday night thirty-one cars entered the event, and Tony would find himself having to transfer from a consolation event to make the feature. He would be successful as he transferred from the consolation event to earn the 15th starting spot for the $2,000-to-win feature. In the main event he would advance eleven positions on his way to a 4th place finish. On Saturday night a fresh, $2,000-to-win event was held, and Tony would lock into the feature via time trials as he earned the fourth starting spot. As the race went green he would quickly work his way to the front of the pack, and once out front would never look back on his way to the win, which was his sixth of the season. Full weekend results are available at www.TalladegaShortTrack.com. October 9th, 2011 - On Saturday and Sunday night, Tony took part in a pair of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) events in the state of Georgia, and unfortunately would battle the setup and bad luck both nights. On Saturday night, the annual Dixie Shootout was held at Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Georgia). Fifty-one Super Late Models entered the $10,000-to-win, 50 lap event, and after struggling in heat race action, Tony would find himself starting deep in a b-main. He would be unable to reach a transfer spot to the feature in the b-main bringing his night to an early end. On Sunday night the action shifted to Rome Speedway (Rome, Georgia) for another $10,000-to-win, 50 lap event around the 4/10 mile oval. In what would be a repeat of Saturday night's bad luck, Knowles would fail to reach a transfer spot to the feature from his heat race and b-main, which saw another early end to his night. Tony plans to take the upcoming weekend, October 14th-15th, off as he prepares for the 17th Annual Fall Classic at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi) on October 21st-22nd. Full weekend results are available at www.LucasDirt.com. October 6th, 2011 - Thursday night found Tony in action at Tri County Speedway (Brasstown, North Carolina) for annual Tarhell 53. The $3,500-to-win event saw twenty-eight cars sign in for battle, and via time trials Knowles would lock into the main event, starting grid. During the course of the feature he would race his way to a 14th place. Full results are available at www.DirtOnDirt.com. October 2nd, 2011 - Tony traveled to East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Alabama) over the weekend for the 33rd Annual Alabama State Championships. Via preliminary action he would lock into the 8th starting spot for the 75 lap, $10,000-to-win, Super Late Model event. As the race went green he would begin advancing through the pack, and by the time that the checkered flag dropped he was credited with a third place finish behind race winner, Jonathan Davenport, and Chris Madden.
