Delta Bowl Speedway Announces 1st Annual Hoosier Topless 40 Night Two and New Sponsors

Tunica, Mississippi (March 4, 2004) As the management at Delta Bowl Speedway prepares to begin its 2004 campaign, big announcements are continuing to surface and new sponsors are coming on board.

Earlier this week, track management inked a deal with Hoosier Racing Tire to host the "First Annual Hoosier Topless 40 Night Two" on Saturday, June 12th. The event is referred to as "Night Two" because it is the tail end of a double header with Memphis Motorsports Park's "Second Annual Hoosier Topless 40", which will be held on Friday, June 11th. Each event will be highlighted by a forty lap feature for the Super Late Models, which will pay $3,000 to win. Drivers participating in the weekend double header between the two tracks will have a shot at taking home $6,000 for their efforts.

Earlier this week, details were also worked out this week to host a late season event of monstrous proportions at the high banked oval. Information about this earth-shattering event will be released in the next few weeks.

In addition, to the practice dates slated for March 13th and March 20th, practice dates have also been added for March 14th and March 21st. These dates were added in order to accommodate racers, who may have their home tracks practicing on March 13th and/or March 20th.

With the start of the season just a few weeks away, Delta Bowl Speedway is continuing to accumulate sponsors. Among the sponsors signed thus far for the 2004 season are Competition Cams, Hensley Suzuki of Olive Branch, Wall Boards Material Company, and Ricks Powder Coating.

Delta Bowl Speedway rules are being finalized and should be available within the next week. New owner, Howard Mea, indicated that he planned to run the same rules as Memphis Motorsports Park (with the likely exception of the Hoosier tire rule). Mea was quoted to say that "I want to make sure that drivers in the area don't have to jump through a hoop to get their car changed from Friday night to run on Saturday night." The 2004 weekly program will consist of Sprint Cars, Super Late Models, Modifieds, Street Stocks, Mini Stocks, and Cruisers.
