Welcome to the Official Internet Home of Kyle Beard from Trumann, Arkansas. Kyle is 22 years old, and the 2009 season will mark his 11th season of racing action. His racing background includes time behind the wheel of Super Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, and Super Streets.

The 2009 season will once again find Kyle piloting his high powered #86 GRT by Frye/Samuel's Performance Racing Engine Super Late Model at high-profile regional and national events.

November 14th, 2009 - Kyle made his first ever trip to Pike County Speedway in Magnolia, Mississippi for the annual Jambalaya 100 over the weekend. With 30 Super Late Models registered for action in the $5,000 to win/$700 to start event, Kyle qualified 5th fastest in his group to earn the fifth starting spot for heat race action. In the heat, Beard got to the fourth spot early in the event before challenging Gary Christian for the third spot for the duration of the race. He would ultimatley settle for the fourth finishing position, which earned him the 13th starting spot for the 100 lap feature. During the course of the 100 lap feature, Kyle would advance to an 11th place finish. It was a good weekend for the team, and they hope to have their team back on track with only a few events remaining in the 2009 season as they prepare for 2010.

November 7th, 2009 - After a month away from the track, Beard Motorsports returned to action over the weekend in the 6th Annual Cotton Pickin' 100 at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi. With 60 Super Late Models entering the event, Kyle qualified sixth fastest in his group to earn the sixth starting position for his heat race. Beard would fight an ill handling car to a 7th place finish in the heat race, which left him starting 8th in a b-main event on Saturday night. Kyle would have a better run to charge to a 4th place finish in his consolation race on Saturday night, but with only the top two cars transferring to the main event, Beard failed to qualify for the $15,000 to win feature.

October 3rd, 2009 - Beard Motorsports made the last minute decision on Saturday night to compete in the O'Reilly SUPR event at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas. With 27 Super Late Models on hand, Kyle drew a big number at the pill draw that resulted in him starting ninth in his heat race. He would advance to a sixth place finish in his heat race to earn the 13th starting position in the main event. However, with Beard being one of the few open motors in action against a field of spec motors, he would fade to a 16th place finish.

September 27th, 2009 - Kyle entered the 20th Annual Magnolia State 100 over the weekend at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi. With 69 Super Late Models on hand, Beard struggled in time trials on Friday night, and started deep in his heat race. He would advance to an 8th place finish to earn the ninth starting spot for a b-main event on Saturday. However, rain forced the postponement of the event until Sunday, and due to previous commitments, the team opted to return home and forego the final day of the event.

September 20th, 2009 - The team traveled to Missouri over the weekend for the final two events of the 2009 campaign. However, heavy rains on Saturday resulted in both the Springfield Raceway (Springfield, MO) and the Monett Speedway (Monett, MO) events being nixed. The events will not be rescheduled, and the season is now complete with Kyle finishing third in the final tour standings.

September 12th, 2009 - Kyle was in action with the O'Reilly MSRA Super Late Model tour at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas on Saturday night in the 3rd Annual Midsouth Dirt Track Championship. After finishing fourth in his heat race, Kyle locked into the feature event in the 14th starting position. Beard would battle around midpack for the first half of the event, before a broken rear axle brought his night to an early end and an 18th place finish.

September 6th, 2009 - Beard Motorsports entered the 5th Annual Bama Brawl at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama on Sunday night in what turned out to be a night that the team will never forget. After struggling in time trials, Kyle was battling for the final transfer spot in a b-main event when disaster struck. Exiting turn four on the final lap, Daniel Miller and Mark Dodson got together causing them to push up the track just as Kyle went to shoot by on the high side. The result was Kyle launching off the front of Dodson's car at full speed. Kyle went about 20 feet up into the air and caught a couple of cables. His car then slammed nose first into the ground and barrel-rolled several times. When officials first got to Kyle he was slumped over the steering wheel. His helmet had spiderweb cracking on top as well as mud, which showed that his head made some direct contact with the ground.

After a few minutes Kyle emerged from the car, and was transported to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with a mild concussion and later released.

Kyle's car was totaled, but he will have his backup car ready for the O'Reilly MSRA Dirt Track Championship at Riverside next Saturday night. The team has a lot of work to do between now and then, and greatly appreciates any and all help.

August 29th, 2009 - Kyle traveled to I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas for an O'Reilly MSRA Super Late Model event. Twenty-three entries were on hand for the $2,000 to win event, and after starting second in his heat race, Kyle charged to a convincing win to earn the pole position for the 40 lap feature event. In the main event, Kyle would start alongside Robert Lovette, and would lead the first seven laps before Wendell Wallace used the low groove to slip by in lapped traffic for the lead. Beard would maintain the second spot in an event only slowed once by the caution flag and recorded a second place finish behind Wallace. Kyle narrowed the gap between himself and Billy Moyer Jr. in the point's chase as Kyle now trails the leader by 75 points.

August 23rd, 2009 - Kyle had a busy weekend as he entered a pair of O'Reilly MSRA Super Late Model events. On Friday night, Beard entered the $2,000 to win, 30 lap event at Beebe Speedway in Beebe, Arkansas. After finishing 4th in his heat race, Kyle earned enough points to lock into the 13th starting spot for the feature. In the feature he would race his way to a ninth place finish.

On Saturday night, August 22nd Beard Motorsports traveled southeast to Greenville Speedway in Greenville, Mississippi for another $2,000 to win event with the O'Reilly MSRA tour.  Twenty-seven Super Late Models entered the event, and Kyle finished 3rd in his heat race.  He managed to earn enough points to once again lock into the feature event in the 11th starting position. By the race’s midway point he was up to the fourth position, but on a double-file restart, he would get shuffled back in the pack.  He would charge back to record a seventh place finish in the caution-plagued, forty lap feature.

August 15th, 2009 - Beard Motorsports entered the 17th Annual COMP Cams Topless 100 at Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas over the course of the weekend. With 68 of the nation's top drivers on hand, Kyle struggled some in time trials as he qualified 23rd fastest in his group in time trials, which resulted in his starting 8th in his heat race. He would go on to advance to a sixth place finish in his twenty lap, heat race. With only the top three finishers transferring to the feature, Beard was relegated to a b-main event, where he started eighth. Kyle would battle his way to a 5th place finish in the b-main, but with only the top two cars transferring to the 100 lap main event, Beard's weekend came to an early end.

August 7th, 2009 - After a week away from the track, Kyle returned to action on Friday night at Malden Speedway in Malden, Missouri with the O'Reilly MSRA Super Late Model tour. After starting seventh in his heat race he would rocket his way to a second place finish, crossing the line just a half a car length behind the winner. As a result, he accumulated the most passing points in heat race action and started in the JFR Graphics Pole Position for the 30 lap feature alongside Billy James. For the first fourteen laps, Beard and James would battle side by side for the lead with James maintaining a slim advantage as Kyle battled a tight race car. A caution flag on lap 14 allowed Billy Moyer Jr. to use the double file restart to slip by for the second spot on the ensuing restart. Kyle would go on to finish a solid third in the event.

July 25th, 2009 - Beard Motorsports was in action with the second leg of the O'Reilly MSRA/O'Reilly MARS Clash at Batesville Motor Speedway on Saturday night. Thirty Super Late Models entered the program. Kyle started third in his heat race and advanced to a second place finish to earn the 7th starting spot for the 35 lap feature. Early in the feature, Beard would race his way to as high as the 4th position before his tires sealed over during a lap 9 caution. From there he would battle his mount home to a 12th place finish.

July 24th, 2009 - Kyle entered the first night of the O'Reilly MSRA/O'Reilly MARS Super Late Model Clash on Friday night at Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas. Thirty-four Super Late Models turned out for the event, and after finishing 4th in his heat race, Kyle started 2nd in his consolation event and blasted his way to the win, which earned him the 15th starting position for the 30 lap feature. In the main event, Kyle would battle an ill handling car home to a disappointing 18th place finish.

July 18th, 2009 - Beard Motorsports entered the second night of the weekend O'Reilly MSRA Super Late Model double header at Drew County Speedway in Monticello, Arkansas on Saturday night. After finishing 4th in his heat race, Kyle started 10th in the feature. On the second lap, he got crossed up and spun in turn one, which forced him to the back of the pack. By the time that the checkered flag fell on the feature, he had charged back to a 10th place finish. He continues to hold down the second position in the O'Reilly MSRA point's standings.

July 17th, 2009 - Kyle continued his pursuit of the O'Reilly MSRA title on Friday night at Beebe Speedway in Beebe, Arkansas. With 24 Super Late Models in action, Kyle charged from his 5th starting position in his heat race to a second place finish. Via passing points, he earned the 5th starting position for the main event. Early in the event, he would battle his way up to the second position before slipping to the third spot late in the race. He went on to record a great third place finish behind race winner, Jon Kirby, and Gary Christian.

July 12th, 2009 - After almost a month away from the track to regroup after a rough start to the year, Kyle returned to action over the weekend with the O'Reilly MSRA Super Late Model tour in a pair of events at 67 Speedway in Texarkana, Arkansas. On Friday night, Kyle started 4th in his heat race and advanced to a second place finish, earning him the 5th starting spot for the feature event, which was shortened to 25 laps due to a rough track surface. Kyle would survive the feature to record a 5th place finish.

On Saturday night, twenty-one Super Late Models were once again on hand as Beard entered the second night of the double header. After finishing second in his his qualifying heat race, Kyle started 5th in the feature and raced his way to a 4th place finish in the 30 lap event. He is currently second in the O'Reilly MSRA Super Late Model point's standings.

June 19th, 2009 - Beard Motorsports entered the first night of an O'Reilly SUPR double header at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas. With 23 Super Late Models on hand, Kyle's bad luck once again struck as the powerplant in his #86 Super Late Model expired in hotlaps, bringing his weekend to an early end.

June 6th, 2009 - Kyle made the long trek to Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi for the 6th Annual Coca-Cola Governor's Cup. After practicing on Friday night, the team entered the $5,000 to win/$300 to start event on Saturday night. The event drew 35 cars, and Kyle would qualify 6th fastest in his group in time trials, which earned him the outside front row starting position for a b-main. Kyle wouls snag the lead at the drop of the green flag in the b-main event. He would lead the first eight laps, before Anthony Burroughs slipped by for the top spot on lap nine. Beard would go on to finish second, which earned him a transfer and the 17th starting spot for the 50 lap feature.

Bad luck would find Kyle early in the feature, when several cars stacked up in front of him causing him to spin and incur some damage to his mount. He would rejoin the field, but would be forced to retire before the race's midway point with a damaged car. He was credited with a 22nd place finish.

May 24th, 2009 -Beard Motorsports competed in the 17th Annual O'Reilly Show Me 100 over the weekend at West Plains Motor Speedway in West Plains, Missouri. With 66 of the nation's top Super Late Model teams in action, Kyle would earn the 7th starting position for his qualifying heat race. He would go on to finish 8th in his heat rach, which sent him to the b-main event, where he started in the 16th. Beard would advance a few spots in the qualifier, but would ultimately fall short of a transfer spot to the feature event, bringing his weekend to an early end.

May 17th, 2009 - Kyle traveled to Drew County Speedway in Monticello, Arkansas over the weekend for a pair of O'Reilly MSRA events, and by the time that the dust had settled on the weekend, he had recorded two top five finishes that included his first win of 2009!

On Friday, 27 cars turned out for the $2,000 to win event. Kyle started 6th in his heat race and would rocket his way to a 2nd place finish, which placed him in the third starting spot for the main event. Kyle would advance to the second spot early in the event before finding his way to the top spot and going on to lead the field to the checkered flag to pick up his first triumph of the 2009 campaign.

On Saturday night, 20 cars were on hand for the $2,000 to win, 40 lap event. After starting 4th in his heat race, Kyle recorded a 5th place finish, which earned him the 14th starting spot for the feature. On a race track, which lended itself to little passing, Beard would manage to advance to a 5th place finish. His weekend performances moved him into the second position in the O'Reilly MSRA Super Late Model standings!

May 9th, 2009 - Beard Motorsports lost both O'Reilly MSRA events at Batesville Motor Speedway and Drew County Speedway this weekend to rain.

April 19th, 2009 - Kyle competed in night #2 of the O'Reilly MSRA/MARS Challenge at West Plains Motor Speedway in West Plains, Missouri on Saturday night. For the second night in a row 31 Super Late Models signed in to battle for the $2,000 top prize. Kyle would draw poorly, and as a result had to start deep in a talented heat race. He would start 7th and finish in the 7th position, forcing him to a b-main event. In the b-main, he would start 6th and advance to a 3rd place finish, but with only the top two cars transferring, he would be forced to utilize an O'Reilly MSRA tour provisional to start the feature. Kyle started the 40 lap event in the 19th position and raced his way to a 13th place finish in the caution free event.

April 18th, 2009 - Beard Motorsports returned to familiar territory last night as they entered the $2,000 to win O'Reilly MSRA Vs. O'Reilly MARS Super Late Model event at Beebe Speedway in Beebe, Arkansas. With a talented field of 31 Super Late Models on hand, Kyle started 6th in his heat race, and raced his way to a 3rd place finish. As a result, he started 8th in the main event, and would get as high as the 3rd position on a track where passing was difficult before slipping to a sixth place finish late in the race, when he was trying to make a highside pass on the front two cars.

April 11th, 2009 - Kyle entered the O'Reilly MSRA/SUPR Challenge event tonight at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas. With 33 Super Late Models on hand, Beard drew the sixth starting position in his heat race. The team opted to utilize their spec engine for the event, but the track turned out to be tacky and fast, which put the team behind the eight ball. Kyle would finish sixth in his heat race, which sent him to the b-main. In the b-main, he started in the 8th position and charged to a 5th place finish, but with only the top three cars transferring to the feature, his night came to an early end.

On Friday night, Beard Motorsports competed at Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas, where Kyle recorded a 9th place finish in the 50 lap event that was sanctioend by the O'Reilly SUPR Super Late Model tour. The team planned to enter an event on Thursday night at Batesville Motor Speedway, but Mother Nature washed it out.

April 4th, 2009 - Beard Motorsports entered a pair of O'Reilly MSRA Super Late Model events over the weekend in the state of Arkansas. On Friday night, the team was in action at 67 Speedway in Texarkana, Arkansas where he picked up a 9th place finish against a solid field of 21 Super Late Models. Kyle also competed in the Open Wheel Modified division, where he raced his way to a 5th place finish.

On Saturday, the action shifted to I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas where Kyle has not had the best of luck over the past few years. With 28 Super Late Models on hand, Beard started 3rd in his heat race, and raced his way to a 2nd place finish, which earned him the sixth starting spot for the 40 lap, $2,000 to win event. Early in the event, Kyle would work his way up to the third spot and by the race's midway point, he would advance to the second position as he began to try and reel in the leader, Wendell Wallace. The caution flag would fly on lap 30 for debris, and on the ensuing double file restart Kyle would fall back to third as Ray Moore used the highline to his advantage to take control of the second spot. Kyle would go on to finish in the third spot behind Wallace and Moore.

March 21st, 2009 - Kyle was in action with the MSCCS Super Late Models tonight at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Mississippi. 34 Super Late Models signed in for the event. in group time trials, Beard would struggle and qualify 7th fastest in his group, which resulted in him starting 5th in a b-main event. He would race his way to the third and final transfer spot, earning him an 18th starting position in the feature event. Kyle would make some moves early in the event and get as high as the 12th position before disaster struck. On lap 16, exiting turn two another driver pushed up the track and turned Kyle into the back stretch wall. He would make hard contact with the wall, and would thankfully be uninjured. However, the same could not be said for the car as heavy damage was sustained.

March 20th, 2009 - Beard Motorsports entered the inaugural event for the Long Lewis Ford Bama Super Series for Super Late Models on Friday night at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama. After battling a tight race car early in the evening, Kyle qualified 6th fastest in his group, which placed him with a 4th starting position in a b-main event. He would race his way to a 4th place finish, which transferred him to the 18th starting spot in the 40 lap feature event. After surviving an early race melee, Kyle battled his way to a 12th place finish.

March 1st, 2009 - Kyle made his debut at the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track in Fort Worth, Texas over the weekend. The Texas Dirt World Championship was on hand and a huge field of 60 Super Late Models turned out for the $3,500 to win, 40 lap event. With passing points in effect, Kyle drew a large number at the pill draw, which relegated him to a 11th starting position in his heat race. He would manage to advance to a 9th place finish, which sent him to a b-main, where he started deep in the field. On a race track, where passing was difficult Kyle would fail to transfer from his b-main to the main event, which brought his night to an end.

February 15th, 2009 - The team traveled to Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Tennessee on Saturday, February 14th for the 7th Annual Winterfest 40. With 42 Super Late Models signed in for battle, Kyle qualified 7th in his group, which earned him a 5th starting position in his heat race qualifier. He would get the jump on the initial start up to the 3rd position, but it would be waved off as a car spun at the front of the pack. As Kyle passed the spun car contact was made on his right rear tire. This contact would come back to haunt Beard four laps later as he battled for the final transfer spot. Exiting turn two on lap four, Kyle's rearend would lock up as a result of the earlier contact. The team would work hard to get the car fixed for the b-main event, but would run out of time. As a result, the team's bad luck continued, and Kyle did not get a chance to race his way into the show.

February 1st, 2009 - Beard Motorsports has not had the best of luck over the past week. First, the team has been without power for almost a week after an ice storm wreaked devastation in their home base of Trumann, Arkansas. The time used power from generators to get their equipment ready for the 9th Annual Winter Classic at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi on Saturday, January 31st. The team got a late start on the highway on Saturday morning and were trying to make up time on the road, when a trailer tire exploded a few miles from the track. The team limped their hauler to the track, and unloaded the car just in time for hot laps. With 39 Super Late Models on hand, Kyle qualified fourth in his group, which earned him a second starting spot in the first b-main. Beard would race his way to a second place in the b-main, which awarded him with a transfer to the 40 lap feature and a 13th starting position. Kyle would struggle early in the feature with the handling on his #86 Super Late Model, however, by the race's midway point the track began to come to Beard, and he advanced his way to the 9th position by lap 30. Unfortunately, bad luck would find Kyle again two laps later when the steering locked up on his car due to a bolt that dislodged from the steering. Thankfully he would be able to force his car to the infield to avoid contact with another car. Kyle's day came to an end, and he was credited with a 21st place finish.
