A.G. competes at 360 Winged Sprint Car events across the southeast behind the wheel of his #3 Maxim/ACME Racing Engine Sprinter. A.G. has been racing for over 18 years and along the way he has earned several accolades and accomplishments including the 2004 American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) National Tour Rookie of the Year Award and the 1999 Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas) Track Championship. October 29th, 2011 - On Saturday night the team entered the finale for the 24th Annual COMP Cams Short Track Nationals, which boasted a $15,000-to-win/$2,400-to-start purse. Before the festivities began, Rains was honored for his 2011 COMP Cams Interstate Cup Championship as he was presented with a trophy, $1,800, and a $1,000 COMP Cams Product Certificate. Via his performance on his qualifying night, Rains started tenth in the first b-main. He would flirt with a top seven transfer spot in the event, but would be unable to reach it as he was forced to utilize his track champion provisional to start 21st in the feature. In the 40 lap event, Rains would retire on lap 5 with mechanical issues, and would be credited with a 21st place finish. Full results are available at www.I-30Speedway.com .

October 28th, 2011 - After a three week break, A.G. resumed his 2011 season on Friday night as he took part in his preliminary program for the 24th Annual COMP Cams Short Track Nationals at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas). Forty-nine cars took part in his program, and a total of 100 cars registered for the weekend's event. In heat race action Rains advanced to a second place finish, which earned him the fourth starting spot for his qualifier, where he advanced to a second place finish. Via his heat and qualifier performances, Rains locked into the 25 lap, preliminary feature in the sixth position. In the opening laps of the feature Rains was battling for fifth, when contact from Joey Saldana resulted in a broken, front end on A.G.'s car, which brought his night to a disappointing early end in the 18th position. October 1st, 2011 - A.G. entered the annual Fall Nationals at Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas) on Saturday night as 30 cars registered for action in the $3,000-to-win event at the 1/4 mile oval. In his heat race, Rains started sixth before advancing to a fourth place finish, which earned him the 14th starting spot for the feature. In the main event he would battle around mid-pack before retiring to an eleventh place finish in an event that saw only five cars finish. September 24th, 2011 - The team traveled to I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) on Saturday night for the 4th Annual Ralph Henson Memorial, which saw 32 Sprint Cars enter the $2,000-to-win event. Via heat race action Rains would race his way into the main event before battling to a sixth place finish behind race winner, Zack Pringle, Terry Gray, Ernie Ainsworth, Dale Howard, and Justin Sturch. September 17th, 2011 - A.G. had a big night on Saturday night as he claimed the inaugural COMP Cams Interstate Trophy Cup title with his performance at Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas). Twenty-nine Sprinters entered the program at the 1/4 mile oval, and after starting eighth in his heat race, Rains battled to a fourth place finish to lock into the 8th starting spot for the 20 lap feature. During the feature he would progressively work his way forward, and by the time that the checkered flag dropped on the feature he had raced his way to a third place finish behind race winner, Cody Gardner, and Zach Pringle.

The third place finish claimed the series' title and left him finishing second in the Riverside International Speedway Track points behind Cody Gardner. Full results are available at www.RiversideInternationalSpeedway.com.

September 10th, 2011 - After a forgettable outing the previous outing, the team was looking to get things back on track on Saturday night, and they would do it in a big way as A.G. topped the feature event at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) for his third feature triumph of the 2011 season. Twenty-five cars entered the event, and in heat race action found Rains starting second. He would quickly work his way to the lead in the heat race as he claimed the win to lock into the third starting spot for the main event. The feature, just like the heat race, would see Rains quickly working his way forward as he found himself in the lead. He would go on to score the win, which came over Zach Pringle, Kyle Bellm, Derek Hagar, and Justin Sturch. Full results are available at www.I-30Speedway.com .

September 3rd, 2011 - Saturday night would be a tough outing for A.G. at Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas). A fourth place finish earned him the eighth starting spot for the main event. However, early in the 20 lap feature Marshall Skinner would drop a driveline directly in front of Rains causing A.G. to climb Marshall's rear tire and flip several times. August 27th, 2011 - The team made the trek to I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) on Saturday night for a $3,000-to-win, unsanctioned event. A stout field of 38 Sprint Cars entered the event, and Rains' night would get off to a rough start as contact on the first lap of his heat race forced him pitside. The heat would resume before he could rejoin the field, so he was forced to start on the tail of a b-main. Despite starting 12th in the b-main, A.G. would race through the pack to a second place finish to earn the 17th starting spot for the 25 lap finale.

August 13th, 2011 - Heavy rains on Friday evening forced Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas) to cancel their racing program scheduled for Saturday night, and as a result the team didn't compete anywhere over the weekend.

August 6th, 2011 - It was back to his home track, Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas) on Saturday night for a Weekly Racing Series Event, which also served a COMP Cams Interstate Cup event. With a field of 18 Sprint Cars entered Rains started the night by advancing from the seventh starting spot to a fourth place finish in his heat race to earn the seventh starting spot for the 20 lap feature.

In the main event he would advance two spots to finish fifth behind race winner, Dale Howard, Ernie Ainsworth, Brad Bowden, and Cody Gardner. Full results are available at www.RiversideInternationalSpeedway.com.

July 30th, 2011 - After a one week break, the team returned to action at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) in a Weekly Racing Series Event. Twenty-three cars were on hand for the program, and in heat race competition Rains advanced from the fifth starting spot to a second place. Via passing points he earned the pole position for the main event, and would grab the lead at the drop of the green flag and never looked back on his way to the win, which came over Cody Gardner, Casey Rowland, Terry Gray, and Ronny Howard. July 16th, 2011 - Rains Motorsports entered the Weekly Racing Series Event at Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas) on Saturday night as 19 cars signed in for battle. AG would start the night by finishing second in his heat race to earn the fifth starting spot for the 20 lap feature. He would battle in the top five for the duration of the event before registering a fifth place finish behind race winner, Derek Hagar, Casey Rowland, Ernie Ainsworth, and Jordon Mallett. July 9th, 2011 - A.G. made the trip to I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) for a Weekly Racing Series Event as a strong field of 28 Sprint Cars entered the event. Via heat race action, Rains earned the thirteenth starting spot for the main event. He would go on to pass four cars as he recorded a ninth place finish at the checkered flag. July 2nd, 2011 - A.G. took part in a Weekly Racing Series Event on Saturday night at Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas) as 19 cars entered the event. Rains started the night by advancing from the sixth starting spot to a second place finish in heat race action. Via the points he accumulated he earned the second starting spot for the feature alongside Jeff Swindell. A.G. would battle for the lead for the duration of the event before scoring a third place finish behind race winner, Dale Howard, and Jeff Swindell. June 25th, 2011 - It was back to action with the COMP Cams Interstate Sprint Car Cup on Saturday night at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) in an event that saw a solid field of twenty Sprint Cars sign in for battle. A.G. would enjoy a solid performance as he raced his way through the pack to a third place finish behind race winner, Tim Crawley, and Zack Pringle. June 18th, 2011 - With heavy hearts Rains Motorsports returned to action on Saturday night at Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas) in an event the team dedicated to the memory of Bobby Butler. Twenty-two Sprint Cars entered the event and Rains advanced from fourth to finish second in his heat, which left him starting fourth in the 20 lap main event. He would battle at the front of the pack for the duration of the event before racing his way to a third place finish behind race winner, Dale Howard, and Brad Bowden. June 12th, 2011 - It's with a heavy heart that the team reports the passing of longtime crew member, Bobby Butler. Bobby passed away on Sunday from a heart attack. He was a part of Rains Motorsports for over 20 years. His services are being handled by Forest Hill South at 2545 East Holmes Road in Memphis, Tennessee. Visitation is from 5pm to 7pm with funeral services on Thursday morning at 10am. God Speed to our Friend.

June 11th, 2011 - A.G. was back in action with the COMP Cams Interstate Cup Series on Saturday night at I-30 Speedway as 15 cars entered the event. In the main event, Rains would battle at the front of the pack for much of the event before registering a fourth place finish behind race winner, Derek Hagar, Terry Gray, and Zach Pringle. June 4th, 2011 - The team made the trip to I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) on Saturday night for a $6,000 to win, Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car event. Thirty-four cars entered the event, and after a solid performance in his heat race, which saw him pick up the win, A.G. locked into the redraw, where he received the pole starting position for the feature. In the feature, Rains would battle in the top five for the first half of the event before slipping to a seventh place finish at the checkered flag. Full results are available at www.ASCSRacing.com.

May 28th, 2011 - A.G. was in action in the Goodyear USCS Sprint Car Series Speedweek opener at Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas) on Saturday night. Thirty-three Sprint Cars entered the event and via heat race action, Rains failed to transfer to the main event, and was relegated to a b-main, which he won. Via his b-main win, he started sixteenth on the grid for the main event. During the course of the 30 lap event, A.G. would pass ten cars on his way to a sixth place finish behind race winner, Tim Crawley, Jeff Swindell, Derek Hagar, Brad Bowden, and Jerrod Hull. May 21st, 2011 - The team took part in the Hooker Hood Classic on Saturday night at Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas) as 35 cars entered the $3,000 to win event. A.G. would lock into the feature via heat race action after charging from the sixth starting spot to a third place finish. Via his heat race performance, Rains started sixth in the 40 lap event and would battle throughout the top ten for the duration of event before registering an eighth place finish at the checkered flag. May 14th, 2011 - A.G. entered a Weekly Racing Series Event at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) on Saturday night as a stout field of 30 cars entered the event at the 1/4 mile oval. After starting fifth in his heat race, Rains registered a third place finish, which left him starting tenth in the feature event. During the course of the event, he advanced to a sixth place finish in the final rundown.

May 7th, 2011 - Despite the scheduled Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car event at Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas) being postponed by flooding in the area, a Weekly Racing Series Event was held and 24 Sprint Cars signed in for battle. A.G. would win his heat race in convincing fashion from the pole to claim the fourth starting position for the 20 lap feature. He would spend the duration of the feature battling in the top five before ultimately crossing the finish line in the fifth position behind race winner, Jeff Swindell, Marshall Skinner, Dale Howard, and Derek Hagar. April 30th, 2011 - A.G. planned to enter a Weekly Racing Series on Saturday night at Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas), but the event was canceled due to rain.

April 23rd, 2011 - Despite heavy rains throughout the week, I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) was able to host its scheduled Weekly Racing Series Event on Saturday night. Nineteen Sprint Cars entered the event, and in the feature event A.G. raced his way to a fifth place finish behind race winner, Zach Pringle, Jordon Mallett, Brad Bowden, and Cody Gardner.

April 16th, 2011 - In Sprint Car racing the pill draw can be everything, and when A.G. drew one of the biggest numbers at the pill draw to start the night on Saturday at I-30 Speedway it pretty much set the tone for the rest of the evening. Forty-four Sprint Cars entered the $6,000 to win, Lucas Oil ASCS event, and after starting on the back row of his heat race on a fast track, where passing was difficult, A.G. would finish on the back. Via his heat race difficulties he would start deep in a b-main event, and despite advancing to an 8th place finish he would not qualify for the feature as only the top three cars transferred to the main event. As a result his night came to an early end.

April 15th, 2011 - It was back to business for A.G. on Friday night as he traveled to I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) for the opening night of a Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car doubleheader. Forty-three cars entered the event, and after finishing second in his heat race, he would lock into the redraw for the main event, where he pulled the fourth starting spot for the 30 lap race. Early in the event, Rains would race in the top five before the handling began to go away on his entry. He would ultimately fade to a 12th place finish at the checkered flag.

April 2nd, 2011 - A.G. has started the 2011 season on a strong note, and on Saturday note he increased the intensity as he raced his way to his first win of the year in the season opener at Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas). With 20 cars on hand, A.G. advanced from the fifth starting spot to a second place finish in his heat. Via passing points he locked into the second starting position alongside Cody Gardner. A.G. would grab the lead at the drop of the green flag and would fend off various challenges from Gardner to claim the feature win! He was followed across the stripe by Gardner and Wade Oliver.

March 26th, 2011 - Rains Motorsports was slated to make the trip to I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) on Saturday night for another Weekly Racing Series Event and the opener in the COMP Cams Interstate Cup, but Mother Nature had other ideas as it forced the cancellation of the event.

March 19th, 2011 - A.G. opened his 2011 season tonight at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) in the season opener for the 1/4 mile oval. After a strong run in heat race action, which saw him race from the 10th starting position to a third place finish. Via his heat race performance Rains locked into the pole position starting spot for the feature event. He would battle for the lead for the duration of the event against Gary Taylor before settling for a strong second place finish in his #3 Rains Motorsports/Eagle.

March 2nd, 2011 - The 2011 Schedule for A.G. Rains has been posted. Rains intends to contend for the I-30 Speedway and Riverside International Speedway Track Championships.

November 14th, 2010 - A.G. Rains entered his final event of the season as he took part in the USCS Fall Nationals at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas. The weekend got off to a bit of a slow start on Friday night, as he struggled in heat race action, which left him starting third in a b-main in the finale, which was delayed to Sunday night by Mother Nature. In the b-main, Rains would check up as a pair of cars in front of him got sideways. As a result, he fell back to the seventh position. With only the top six cars transferring, he knew he had to get up on the wheel, and would make a late race charge to a sixth place finish to earn the nineteenth starting spot for the first feature.

In the first feature, Rains charged through the pack to a ninth place finish on a lightning fast surface. Via his finish in the first feature, he earned the thirteenth starting spot for the second 20 lap feature. He would once again mount a great charge in the second feature as he rocketed past ten cars to score a third place finish behind race winner, Jerrod Hull, and Anthony Nicholson.

October 30th, 2010 - A.G. entered the 23rd Annual COMP Cams Short Track Nationals over the weekend in what would prove to be a frustrating weekend of racing for the team. On Friday night the team entered a qualifying event with 70 cars on hand. In heat race action, a pair of cars spun in front of Rains, collecting him and causing him to head pitside for the remainder of the heat. As a result, he started deep in his qualifier and failed to earn enough points to start the feature.

On Saturday night, a record carcount of 123 entries took part in the event's finale, which boasted a $15,000 to win/$2,300 to start purse. A.G. earned enough points in heat race action to start fourth in his qualifier. He would move up to the third position early in the qualifier as he challenge Ricky Logan for the second and final transfer spot. However, at the finish line, Rains would fall just short of the transfer, bringing his weekend to an early end.

October 23rd, 2010 - After three weeks away from the track, Rains Motorsports returned to action Saturday night at Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas) in the $2,000 to win, Trick-or-Treat Nationals. Twenty-six cars entered the event, and In heat race action, A.G. advanced from his third starting spot to a second place finish to lock into the seventh starting spot in the main event. In the feature he would work his way through a solid field of competitors to a third place finish behind event winner, Jeff Swindell, and Marshall Skinner.

October 2nd, 2010 - The second night of the 2nd Annual Rock & Roll 50 would not be any kinder to A.G. Rains. He drew the biggest number at the pill draw, and as a result started at the back of a heat race. He would manage a sixth place finish in the heat, which left him starting deep in a b-main, where he failed to advance to a transfer spot to the feature event, bringing an early end to his night.

October 1st, 2010 - A.G. entered the 2nd Annual Rock & Roll 50 on Friday night at Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas). With 48 Sprint Cars on hand for the Lucas Oil ASCS sanctioned event, A.G. finished 4th in his heat race. He would fall short of earning enough points to lock into the feature, and as a result started third in the b-main. Early in the b-main, Rains was battling for the third and final transfer spot, when he looped his brand new #3 Maxim. He would decide to call it a night after the spin and would not qualify for the main event.

August 28th, 2010 - Rains Motorsports traveled to I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas on Saturday night for a $6,000 to win, Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series Event. With 45 entries on hand, A.G. accumulated enough passing points in heat race action to lock into the 16th starting spot for the 35 lap feature event. He would race around midpack for much of the event before ultimately recording a 15th place finish in the final rundown in the caution-free event.

August 21st, 2010 - A.G. entered a Weekly Racing Series Event at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas on Saturday night. With 22 Sprint Cars on hand, A.G. finished 5th in his heat race, and as a result started 15th in the feature. For the main event, Rains would mount a great run to the front of the pack, and despite the feature being shortened to 13 laps do to a five caution rule, A.G. managed to record a 5th place finish in the final rundown behind event winner, Justin Carver, Brad Bowden, Jeff Swindell, and Chris Williams.

August 14th, 2010 - The team was back in action at Riverside International Speedway on Saturday night. After struggling with the setup in his heat race, Rains started 7th in the feature event. He would go on to advance through the field to a fourth place finish behind event winner, Jeff Swindell, Ernie Ainsworth, and Eddie Gallagher.

August 7th, 2010 - A.G. traveled to I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas on Saturday night to try his luck at a Weekly Racing Series Event. Via passing point, he earned a front row starting spot for the main event in the 17 car field and on the eighth lap he was battling Bryce Vowan for the lead, when the duo made contact causing Rains to spin. A.G. would go to the back of the pack under caution, but would not give up as he rebounded to charge back to a sixth place finish during the last half of the event.

July 31st, 2010 - It was back to business for Rains Motorsports on Saturday night at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas as the team entered a Weekly Racing Series Event. A.G. started the night by winning his heat race to earn the 4th starting spot for the 20 lap feature. Rains would quickly work his way into the second spot behind leader, Marshall Skinner, and would chase the leader for the duration of the event, but would be unable to make the pass. Rains would score a second place finish at the checkered flag.

July 24th, 2010 - It was a frustrating night for the team as they entered a Weekly Racing Series Event at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas. After finishing third in his heat race, Rains started sixth in the feature event. By lap five he was already up to the third spot, but as caution waved for debris on the track, it became noticable that Rains' left rear tire was going flat. He would head pitside, but would be unable to get it changed before the field returned to green flag action. He would be scored with a 14th place finish.

July 17th, 2010 - The team made the trek to I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas on Saturday for another Weekly Racing Series Event. With 19 Sprint Cars on hand, A.G. won his heat race to earn a front row starting spot alongside Justin Sturch for the feature. Rains would challenge Sturch for the topspot throughout the course of the event before settling for a second place finish..

July 10th, 2010 - A.G. Rains returned to I-30 Speedway on Saturday for a Weekly Racing Series Event as 20 cars entered the event. Rains would battle for the lead for much of the event before recording a third place finish behind event winner, Marshall Skinner, and Gary Wright.

July 1st, 2010 - Rains Motorsports entered the USCS Sprint Car event at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas on Thursday night. The event, which was tabbed as the Hooker Hood Classic drew 25 entries, and after finishing fourth in his heat race, A.G. started 13th in the feature. Despite starting deep in the field on a locked down track, Rains would advance to a fourth place finish behind event winner, Tim Crawley, Marshall Skinner, and Jerrod Hull.

June 26th, 2010 - A.G. raced his way to his first feature win of 2010 on Saturday night at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas. With twenty-three Sprint Cars on hand, Rains earned the third starting spot for the main event via passing points. He would bolt to the lead early in the feature as he overtook front row starters, Jon Stinson and Jerrod Roller. He would go on to take the win over Terry Gray and Jan Howard.

June 19th, 2010 - The team was back in action on Saturday night at Riverside International Speedway as 16 cars entered the Weekly Racing Series Event. After finishing 4th in his heat, A.G. started 8th in the feature on a track that was hooked-up and rendered passing difficult. Despite the track conditions, Rains would mount a great charge to the front and by the time that the checkered flag dropped was credited with a fourth place finish behind event winner, Dalton Davis, Marshall Skinner, and Jeff Swindell.

June 12th, 2010 - A.G.'s Grandmother passed away earlier in the week, so the team did not race anywhere this weekend.

June 5th, 2010 - After a few weeks away from the track due to rain, AG Returned to the cockpit of his #3 Maxim Sprint Car on Saturday night at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas. Forty-one Sprint Cars entered the event, and Rains started the night by winning his heat race in convincing fashion. Via his heat race performance, he earned the pole position for the 35 lap feature. He would lead the first 12 laps over Brady Bacon before the handling began to go away on his mount. He would ultimately fade to a 7th place finish in the final rundown.

May 22nd, 2010 - Rains was back in action on Saturday night at Riverside International Speedway as 19 cars entered the event. After starting 8th in his heat race he advanced to a 6th place finish to earn the 11th starting position for the 20 lap feature. In the feature, A.G. would advance to a sixth place finish behind event winner, Marshall Skinner, Dalton Davis, Dale Howard, Jeff Swindell, and Don Young.

May 15th, 2010 - The team made the short trip to Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas for a Weekly Racing Series Event. After finishing 5th in his heat race, A.G. earned the 10th starting spot for the main event. However, rains set in before the feature could be run and the feature starters were paid by their starting position.

May 8th, 2010 - A.G. competed in the Weekly Racing Series Event at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas as 23 cars entered the event. In heat race action, Rains would blast from his 5th starting spot to take the win, and via passing points earned the pole position for the 20 lap feature. In the feature event, his luck would not be as good as he battled an ill-handling car to a 13th place finish.

April 24th, 2010 - Rains Motorsports did not race anywhere this weekend as the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car weekend at Riverside International Speedway was postponed due to heavy rains.

April 17th, 2010 - A.G. returned to action on Saturday night in a Weekly Racing Series Event at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas. A field of 25 Sprint Cars was on hand, and Rains started the night by charging to his heat race win to earn the fourth starting spot for the 20 lap feature. He was excited about his chances in the feature event, but unfortunately the track became predominantly one groove around the bottom, and Rains would have to settle for a fourth place finish.

April 10th, 2010 - A.G. opened his 2010 season on Saturday night at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas with the Lucas Oil Sprint Car Series. With 53 Sprint Cars on hand, Rains raced his way to a heat race win to lock into the feature event against the star-studded field. A.G. would ultimately record an 18th place finish in the main event.

November 15th, 2009 - Rains Motorsports made the short trip to Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas over the weekend for the USCS Fall Nationals, which was the final event of the 2009 season for the team. The team got behind the eight ball early in the event on Friday as his qualifying time relegated him to a starting spot deep in a heat race grid. He would rebound to a 6th place finish, which resulted in him starting seventh in a b-main event on Saturday night.

Saturday night got off to a rough start, when the team blew a motor in hot laps. They worked frantically to change motors and were able to do so prior to their b-main event. In the b-main he advanced to a sixth place finish to earn the 20th starting position in the first of two, $2,500 to win feature events. He charged through the pack in the 25 lap feature to pick up a ninth place finish.

For the second feature, the finishing order of the first event was completely inverted, so A.G. started fourteenth. During the course of the second feature, Rains battled his way to a 7th place finish on an extremely, racey track surface.

November 7th, 2009 - After seeing the event delayed a week by Mother Nature, A.G. entered the 22nd Annual O'Reilly Short Track Nationals over the weekend at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas. The event drew 101 of the nation's top Sprint Car teams, and Rains took part in the Thursday night practice session. In heat race action, A.G. started 4th and was battling for the lead early in the event, when he was penalized for firing too soon on a restart. As a result, he was forced to the back of the field. He would charge back to a fourth place finish, which resulted in him starting on the front row for his qualifier. He would win the qualifier, which earned him enough points to start the 25 lap preliminary feature. He would start 15th in his qualifier and would go on to finish in the 13th position.

On Saturday night, the finale for the 22nd Annual O'Reilly Short Track Nationals was held. Rains finished 3rd in his heat race, which earned him the pole starting position for a last chance qualifier with the winner only transferring to the feature. After falling back to the second position early in the event behind Joe Wood Jr., A.G. regrouped to go on to take the lead late in the race and led the last few laps to earn a coveted starting spot in the $15,000 to win/$2,200 to start event. In the main event, A.G. would not make up much ground during the race's early stages and elected to retire from the event to save his equipment. He was credited with an 18th place finish.

October 25th, 2009 - Rains Motorsports entered the rain-delayed 3rd Annual Trick or Treat Nationals at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas on Sunday. The $2,500 to win event drew 37 Sprint Cars. After starting 7th in his heat race, Rains advanced to a 5th place finish. With passing points in effect, he fell just short of locking into the feature event and was forced to start in the pole position of a b-main event. A.G. would race his way to the b-main win to earn the 17th starting position for the 30 lap feature event. Rains night would come to an early end in the feature as a mechanical failure resulted in a 19th place finish.

September 27th, 2009 - A.G. traveled to I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas on Saturday night for the Ralph Henson Memorial. With 33 entries on hand for the $2,000 to win event, Rains won his heat race to earn the third starting spot for the feature event. Early in the race, A.G. would battle for the top spot before the top groove began to go away. Rains would drop to the fifth position late in the race, and that's where he would finish at the checkered flag.

September 5th, 2009 - The team returned to action at Riverside International Speedway on Saturday night. With fourteen cars on hand in the 360 Winged Sprint Car division, A.G. would start in the fourth position. By the time that the checkered flag waved on the twenty lap event, Rains was credited with a fourth place finish.

August 29th, 2009 - A.G. had a great night at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas on Saturday night as he picked up his first feature win of the 2009 season over a field of 16 competitors. A.G. won his heat race to earn the second starting spot alongside Marty Meredith for the twenty lap feature. A.G. would take the lead at the drop of the green flag and never looked back en route to the win over Jan Howard and Terry Gray.

August 22nd, 2009 - Rains Motorsports was in action tonight at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas. After starting fourth in his heat race, A.G. advanced to a second place finish to earn the sixth starting spot for the twenty lap feature. In the main event, Rains would battle throughout the top ten before scoring a sixth place finish.

August 15th, 2009 - A.G. was once again in action at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas on Saturday for a Weekly Racing Series Event. After struggling in his heat race to an 8th place finish, Rains turned up the wick for the twenty lap feature event, and blasted his way from his 16th starting spot to record an impressive 5th place finish in the eighteen car field.

August 8th, 2009 - A.G. entered the Weekly Racing Series Event tonight at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas. He would come away with a solid, 3rd place finish in the feature event.

August 6th, 2009 - Rains Motorsports entered the Parts Plus USCS Sprint Car Series event on Thursday night at Riverside International Speedway. With 33 Sprint Cars on hand, A.G. won his heat race and went on to battle throughout the top ten during the course of 30 lap feature before recording a 5th place finish.

July 25th, 2009 - A.G. had another good run tonight at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas. After starting third in his heat race, he advanced to a second place finish, earning him the 4th starting position for the 20 lap feature event. In the feature evnet, he would battle throughout the top five for the duration of the event before recording a 5th place finish.

July 18th, 2009 - After a week away from the track, A.G. was back in action tonight at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas in a Weekly Racing Series Event. With eighteen 360 Winged Sprint Cars on hand for the event, A.G. rocketed to a third place finish in his heat race after starting fifth. His performance earned him the sixth starting position for the twenty lap feature. Unfortunately his night would come to an abrupt end when he was involved in a tangle on the initial start. The accident resulted in rearend damage to his #3 mount, bringing night to a disappointing early end.

July 4th, 2009 - After a great run on Friday night, Rains Motorsports was eager to enter the second night of the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Series Rock & Roll 50 at Riverside International Speedway on Saturday night. However, as it would turn out, the team would find themselves behind the eight ball all night. After drawing a large number at the pill draw, Rains started at the back of his heat race and was not able to advance any spots. As a result, he started deep in a b-main event, where he would fall just short of transferring to the feature event.

July 3rd, 2009 - Rains Motorsports entered the first night of the Rock and Roll 50 at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas on Friday night. With 44 ASCS Sprint Cars on hand, A.G.'s night would get off to a rough start in his heat race when he was spun by another competitor. He would go to the back of the pack and charge back to a 5th place finish, which earned him the fourth starting position for a b-main event. Rains would battle his way to a 3rd place finish in his b-main, which earned him the final transfer spot to the 30 lap, $3,000 to win feature. After starting 21st in the feature, A.G. battled his way to a solid 11th place finish!

June 27th, 2009 - A.G. had another strong night at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas. With 18 Sprint Cars on hand, A.G. started 4th in his heat race and rocketed his way to a second place finish, which resulted in him started 4th in the feature event. On a hammer down, heavy race track, Rains would advance his way to a 3rd place finish behind Marshall Skinner and Ernie Ainsworth.

June 20th, 2009 - Saturday night got off to a rough night for A.G. at Riverside International Speedway in a Weekly Racing Series Event. In heat race action, A.G. would be disqualified after stopping on the track and having a crew member check his car for damage. As a result, he was forced to start 20th in the 20 lap feature event. Despite starting deep in the field, Rains would mount a great charge in the feature as he advanced 12 spots to an 8th place finish on a hammer down race track!

June 13th, 2009 - Rains Motorsports entered the $2,500 to win, Parts Plus USCS Sprint Car event at Riverside International Speedway on Saturday night. Twenty-three Sprint Cars entered the event, and A.G. would start 6th in his heat race. Early in the event, he was battling with Kevin Kilpatrick for the third position, when Kilpatrick made contact with Rains entering turn three, which almost sent A.G. flipping. Somehow, he would manage to keep the car on four wheels, although he rolled to a stop at the top of turn four. A.G. would restart at the back of the heat race, and race his way to a fourth place finish. With passing points in effect, he earned the 8th starting spot for the feature event. At the drop of the green flag, he would begin his march to the front, and by the time that the checkered flag fell on the 30 lap event, he was up to the 3rd position.

June 6th, 2009 - A.G. was back in action in a Weekly Racing Series Event tonight at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas. With 22 Sprint Cars on hand in the 360 Winged Sprint Car division, Rains finished 4th in his heat race, which earned him the 13th starting spot for the 20 lap feature. In the feature event, A.G. would rocket his way to a 6th place finish.

May 28th, 2009 - The team made the last minute decision to race with the O'Reilly USCS Sprint Cars at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas tonight. With 38 Sprint Cars on hand, A.G. finished 4th in his heat race and went on to win the b-main. In the 30 lap, $2,500 to win feature event, Rains would race his way to a 10th place finish.

April 24th, 2009 - A.G. turned in a very strong performance tonight in his #3 Maxim/Rains Racing Engine Sprinter as he entered the World of Outlaw Sprint Car event at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas. With 38 Sprint Cars on hand, Rains managed to qualify in the 21st position despite utilizing a 360 c.i. motor against the traveler's 410 c.i. engines. He would start 6th in his heat race and would miss the transfer by one spot with a sixth place finish. However, he earned a 2nd starting position for his b-main event. He would finish 2nd to Tommy Worley Jr. in the b-main, which earned him the 22nd starting position in the main event. A.G. would compete for approximately 20 laps before retiring his entry to a 25th place finish.

April 11th, 2009 - Rains Motorsports made the last minute decision to travel to I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas on Saturday night for a Weekly Racing Series Event. With 17 Sprint Cars on hand, A.G. recorded a fourth place finish.

October 26th, 2008 - Rains Motorsports traveled to I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas on Saturday night for the 21st Annual O'Reilly Short Track Nationals Presented By Hoosier Racing Tires. A.G. elected to enter Friday night's qualifying event. It looked as though his night would get off to a good start as Rains passed four cars in the first four laps of his heat race, but his night would quickly take a turn for the worst as a broken spur gear forced him to roll to a stop on lap five, bringing his night to an end.

On Saturday night, bad luck would once again reign supreme as a broken rocker arm brought A.G.'s night to an early end.

October 12th, 2008 - A.G. picked up his biggest win of the year last night at Riverside International Speedway as he led all 35 laps to win the 3rd Annual Parts Plus Trick or Treat Nationals and picked up $3,000 for his efforts. After qualifying in the 6th position and transferring through his heat, Rains was slated to start sixth in the main event. However, during the feature inversion draw, original pole sitter, Ricky Hood, drew a #6 invert, which put Rains on the outside front row for the feature event. At the drop of the green flag Rains took over the lead with Ronny Howard and Eddie Gallagher in tow. A.G. battled through lap traffic for much of the event, and looked to be on his way to a comfortable win, before a broken shock mount on the front end began to wreak havoc on his car. A lap 33 caution set up a two lap dash to the checkered flag between Rains and Gallagher. With a badly vibrating front end, Rains had his hands full with Gallagher, but A.G. was able to hold on to take the win at the finish line by only a few feet.

October 5th, 2008 - A.G. was caught in the wrong place at the wrong time in his heat race last night at Riverside International Speedway. A pair of cars tangled in front of Rains on the start resulting in his front end being knocked out of the car. A.G. headed back to the pits and repaired the car for the 20 lap feature event, where he started 19th. He would advance from his 19th starting position to an 13th place finish on a lightning fast race track.

September 30th, 2008 - After a much needed two week break from racing, A.G. returned to action on Saturday night at Riverside International Speedway. Rains started 6th in his heat race and finished in the 4th position. He started 12th in the feature and blasted his way to a 4th finishing position in the 20 lap feature on the lightning quick, gumbo oval. He ended the 2008 season in the 3rd position in the final track point's standings.

September 7th, 2008 - Rains Motorsports was back at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas last night for a Weekly Racing Series Event. A.G. started 6th in his heat race and advanced to a 2nd place finish at the end of the 10 lap affair. After accumulating several passing points in his heat race, he earned the outside front row starting position for the 20 lap feature. With 20 cars taking the green flag, Rains blasted to the lead on lap one and would lead the next 17 laps before the leaders encountered heavy lapped traffic. Exiting turn two on lap 18, Rains would be boxed in by several lapped cars, allowing Jeff Swindell and Eddie Gallagher to slip by. A.G. went on to finish in the third position.

August 31st, 2008 - A.G. was in action last night at Riverside International Speedway. He drew a third starting position for heat race and picked up a fourth place finish. In the feature event, he started 8th in the 16 car field, but battled a tight race car from the drop of the green flag. He would ultimately finish in the 11th position.

August 24th, 2008 - A.G. finally got the monkey off his back on Saturday night at Riverside International Speedway by picking up his first feature win of the year. He started outside front row in the first heat race, and he blasted his way to the lead at the drop of the green flag and went on to win his heat race by a straight-away. In the feature, A.G. started on the pole and once again took possession of the lead on the first lap and went on to lead all 20 laps of the caution free event. The win marked his first of 2008.

August 17th, 2008 - Last night Rains Motorsports returned to action at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas. He was in action with O'Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Cars. Despite being underpowered with a 360 c.i. engine versus the 410 c.i. engines, Rains did quite well as he charged from a 5th starting position in his heat race to a second place finish. In the feature event, he started 7th and battled throughout the top 10 for the entire 30 lap feature before recording a 9th place finish.

August 3rd, 2008 - A.G. raced at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas last night. He started 8th in his heat race and advanced to a 5th place finish on a lightning fast race track. However, mechanical woes discovered after the heat race action forced him to miss the feature event.

July 27th, 2008 - Last night at Riverside International Speedway, A.G. finished 2nd in his heat race after pressuring the leader, Henry Gustavus Jr., for the entire distance. His heat race finish earned him a 5th starting position for the 20 lap feature event. However, exiting turn three on the initial lap, Jeff Swindell began flipping, and he collected Rains, causing Rains to roll over. The damage to the car was minimal, and he was able to rejoin the back of the pack. A.G. would narrowly escape another accident before recording a 10th place finish.

July 20th, 2008 - A.G. was in action last night at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas. In the heat race, A.G. sustained damage on the initial start to the feature and was forced to the pit area. In the feature event, he started 16th and advanced to a solid 8th place finish.

July 13th, 2008 - A.G. competed with the ASCS Sprint Cars last night at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas. With 30 Sprinters on hand, he finished 6th in his heat race, which forced him to the b-main event, where he picked up a 5th place finish. In the feature, he started 21st before settling for a 23rd place finish.

July 11th, 2008 - Rains Motorsports competed in the Thursday Night Thunder last night at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas. A.G. started last in his heat race and advanced to a 6th place finish, which was two spots short of a transfer to the main event. As a result, he was forced to run the b-main event, where he started 8th. He would charge to a 3rd place finish, and a transfer to the feature event, where he started 19th. A.G. would pass several cars early in the feature before having to retire with mechanical woes with 10 laps remaining. He was credited with a 22nd place finish.

July 5th, 2008 - A.G. was in action with the World of Outlaw Sprint Cars tonight at Riverside International Speedway. A.G. utilized his 360 c.i. motor against the 410 c.i. competitors. He qualified 26th out of 32 qualifiers, and finished 7th in his heat race, which forced him to run the b-main. In the b-main, Rains, would finish 9th, which prevented him from transferring to the feature event.

June 29th, 2008 - A.G. finished 6th in his heat race and 10th in the feature event last night at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas.

June 22nd, 2008 - After a week away from the track, A.G. returned to action at Riverside International Speedway on Saturday night, where he recorded a 3rd place finish in his heat race, and a 6th place finish in the feature against an 18 car field.

June 8th, 2008 - Last night at Riverside International Speedway, A.G. started 4th in his heat race and finished in the 4th position. In the feature he started 8th and battled in the top ten throughout the feature before recording a 7th place finish.

June 2nd, 2008 - On Saturday night at Riverside, A.G. finished 3rd in his heat race and 7th in the feature as he battled a tight race car.

May 25th, 2008 - A.G. competed with the USCS Sprint Cars last night at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas. He finished 3rd in the heat race and picked up an 8th place finish in the 35 lap feature event.

May 18th, 2008 - Acme Motorsports set out to compete in a pair of events over the weekend. However, due to a busy work schedule on Friday the team did not get to compete at Beebe Speedway in Beebe, Arkansas. On Saturday night, Rains was in action at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas, where he won his heat race and picked up a second place finish in the feature event.

May 14th, 2008 - Welcome to the launch of the Official Internet Home A.G. Rains from West Memphis, Arkansas. A.G. is the latest addition to the MSR Mafia, and he pilots the #3 Maxim Chassis/ACME Racing Engine Sprint Car.
